Aviva Premiership - Round 12

Lozowski time.
This really the kid that everyone's spaffing over?
I was reading on the Wasps forum last night that he's already surpassed Cipriani, yet considering how terrible our defence is atm he's doing....literally nothing. Well, apart from that chip kick direct into a defender's arms.

I agree that much it is nonsense, and in particular Lozowski is nowhere near Cipriani.
To be fair to Lozzo though he's probed the gain-line nicely a few times, but generally think he's ******* into the wind in trying to get the wasps backs to do anything of note when they've already won with bonus point try.

Excellent performance from Leicester. I'm fuming at Bath, but the fact is that was a really really good game from Tigers, went in with a game plan to put us under pressure and stop us playing and everyone played out of their skin. Obviously the front row, Salvi deserved his MOM, Parling was superb especially in the line out, and the plan to wind us up worked beautifully. Tigers were intelligent, Bath were ****ing stupid. Classic example of a game that was won/lost in the head not with the body.

Good victory of my tigers! Union is very tough for some league players. Just ask Sam

Didn't know you were a Tigers fan. I'll be honest, I like you a bit less now... :p

Burgess was an "enforced" change in the sense that JJ was injured, but no-one forced Ford to leave a young, skilful 10/12 on the bench and not even take a Grand Slam winning centre in the squad. It's too early for him, and I'm starting to suspect more and more that Ford is being forced to select Bruce Craig's high profile signing and forced to defend "his" decisions to select him in the face of evidence that he isn't ready. And he played today in a position that literally no-one has suggested he play. Bath see him as a back row, there's some possibility he might play 12, so where does 13 come into it?! He's being given game time at the expense of the team's needs, it's really starting to Sen like he's viewed as bigger than the team in some quarters (like I said, I suspect the chairman more than the head coach) and quite aside from the impact on results, that could have a damaging effect on team morale as well as on Burgess's morale. He's a proud, talented, driven man who's used to being successful. It isn't fair on him to keep putting him in a position where he's out of his depth, and where teammates might start to resent him.

To be fair, Burgess could hardly be blamed for the shambles that Bath delivered today. The forwards were all getting wound up too easily, were **** poor in the maul and scrum and my god were they slow. Don't waft around when a player is isolated, move your ****ing arses and get in. I can understand fatigue towards the end of the game but less than 15 mins in walking to a breakdown where your own player is isolated is just inexcusable. None of the Bath players looked like they could be bothered.

The backs were too busy trying to create the magic offload, even when going backwards, that they completely ignored the basics. On the whole a complete lack of cohesion and breakdown in discipline. Stupid forward passes too. Literally not a single redeeming feature in that game.

TBH I though Baths pack would have been much more dangerous against us, we were missing 2 big players in the ruck IMO Cole and Thorn.

Balmain looks very good though.

Happy very Happy only 7 point in it now for 2nd place.

Should hopefully get Mulipola, Cole and Thorn back for next weekend against Quins and maybe with luck and hope Manu and Loamanu potentially.

Hopefully this gets us on a roll.

How did Sam look today , leaving out superlatives?
I had the game on in the background, so saw his disallowed try (and the sarcastic applause from the WR crowd :p) but was more focused on the Sale game on my laptop/smashing up my room afterwards

Nice to see Leicester Academy beating Sale's today as well, Umaga kicking the goals for us will be interesting to see how he develops. 20 - 7

Well if you give me a Bath jersey, we can discuss my membership :p

Tigers doing what needs to be done. As much as it pains me to say I still see more potential in this bath side than in the tigers side.

Great win for tigers today. I want to the game and throughly enjoyed it. I thought Tom youngs vs webber = TY win and defiantly in the England frame again. Attwood vs parling = draw (both players played well). I was impressed with Garvey who would be the only player In baths pack who stood up. Ferns was quite and Gibson for tigers out a great shift I with Salvi. Ben youngs vs cook = Ben youngs shown why he is a British & lions player, cook was poor. Owen Williams getting better and better. FORD cracking under the pressure again, missed two key kicks off the tee. Eastmond looked amazing, two great breaks and as a England fan I hope he is ok. I was also excited to aser burgess but he is still early days but he defiantly got some advice from the tigers fans :D Watson also shown why he will start for England, so fast. Tait had one of he's better days

ImageUploadedByRugby Forum1420406509.124582.jpg also saw cook, Wilson and Thomas stocking up on fish and chips. Had a good chat with them, great lads.
