Aviva Premiership - Round 12

Some superb hands for that 3rd Falcons try! They're not short of pace in the backs!

Great .... Another Saints fan.

Also how great is it to watch a Falcons game when they are playing like this compared to last season.

Sorry TigsMan - it's never personal! ;)

I always think it's a pleasure to see Falcons actually do something. So much potential in that pack.

Honestly, some great tries from both sides tonight. Loved Myler's performance, and there's been great play from Foden, Catterick and Pisi.

Foden MOTM? Good stuff!

Foden has to be pushing brown now. Love the Italian 5 proper nut job I tye forward

I prefer Brown I must say, but Foden has great experience and is making a fabulous comeback.

Are Newcastle playing like this because they know they're pretty much safe from relegation?

I like to think that any team would play good rugby despite the circumstances but you may well be correct...

It's clearly a long term plan to play better attacking rugby; they wouldn't have put the 4G pitch in place if it wasn't. But yeah, I think the "Can't be relegated situation" helps them here - less pressure, more freedom to experiment, can allow attacking players to learn defensive systems on the job. Just I think they'll be trying to play that sort of stuff next season as well.

I agree completely with relegation and it should never be removed. But does this show what teams might attempt to play like if it was?

Will Newcastle they realise that by playing 'better rugby' they have put themselves in a better position in games than if they were playing conservatively?

Think we might pull off an upset today could be déjà vu from last season.

Think we might pull off an upset today could be déjà vu from last season. Please just let Sheridan run at Farrell and Cross could wack Mako at the scrUMS.

With every passing week I'm finding myself more and more irritated by Eykyn.
Anyone else finding this?

It was always the plan to play more attacking rugby. The problem was our previous attack coach Peter Russell. It has been well documented that the falcons sdimply didn't buy into what he was doing or his coaching methods. It would seem that there is something in that as since Walder became attack coach we have been a breath of fresh air...and im loving it as a LONG term falcons fan whose had to watching utter tosh week in week out for years.

We have some very good experienced guys - like Sinotti who is the best winger in the prem...Aly Hogg, Ruki Tupuna (whos been outstanding at 9) and Alex Tuilagi who is really starting to look fit. Mixed with some amazing kids coming through - our academy has always been strong, we just struggled to keep hold of the kids. Now we should be able to.

We have another raft ready to come through in the summer.

We are not getting carried away though...and Dean will most definitely keep all their feet on the ground.

Also Chris Harris the centre is 25. He has always shown potential but never really realised it - again its nice to see that maybe he is coming to fruit aswell.

Do you think he'll focus on 6 or 4/5 Rats.

ALso whats your honest thoughts on Kruis?
