[2013 TRC] New Zealand vs. Australia in Wellington (24/08/2013)

That might be true but are you seriously saying that until he shuts them up himself with a good performance it is perfectly fine for the kiwis to behave like that. Sorry but he shouldn't have to do anything to shut them up after all this time. The behaviour actually hurts NZ - not Cooper or Australia. I should probably stop objecting and let them behave like knobs - in long run people will just think all kiwis are knobs. NOt the case but if you want to advertise yourselves like that then go ahead.

Maybe you could take the moral high ground if your own cricket coach hadn't urged Aussie fans to boo Stuart Broad this next Ashes. At least our coaches ask for the booing to stop. The booing is unfortunate but Quade did bring it on himself. NZ fans also have a belief that the booing actually works because Quade has been so ****. If Quade admitted regret for being such a dick in 2011 then people would get over it quicker.

Agree with both points.

NZ fans boo him and it appears to affect him, as, since that game back at the 2011 RWC, Cooper has been s.h.i.t.e. against us. As a fan, if you saw you were influencing the way an opponent in a key position is playing, why wouldn't you want to keep doing it?

He has it in his hands to make it stop. At one stage most NZ fans had some respect for him (albeit grudging). He lost that respect through his own actions when he undertook his orchestrated cheap shot campaign against McCaw. If he wants that respect back he has to EARN it. He can do that by apologising to the NZ public, or he can show us what a good player he is, even better, he could do both. To date, he's done neither.

I'd like to add that I'm getting somewhat peed off with the double standard being applied here to NZ fans by some commenters and commentators. First they tell us that we are not passionate enough about our rugby, then when we show some passion, we get criticised as being immature, crass and childish.

Hmmm 3 posts. We had this exact conversation with some other fool from australia not long ago. All i can say is you will never get me to agree with you on this and its just hillarious that you think that this hurts NZ. What a load of ballony.

I swear Wales must have outsourced the 'Fly Half Factory' to New Zealand, after it was shut down by 'Elf 'n' Safety' over here.

when the fk is Australia beating NZ ffs......just for the heck of it, I wanna see that happening.

I think Kapa O pango comes out after the squad has been together for some time and is more established, new players, injury replacements and short turnarounds and you wont see it.

I think you are being a little one eyed here don't you?
The common factor in this game was that as soon as either side got within sight of the goal line the other side gave away a penalty, it doesn't take a great level of intellect to realise that it is a tactic employed by both teams.

As for Cooper well he made his bed I wouldn't boo him personally because I don't think he is worth the effort but I really don't care that others do.

Nonu I think it is time he took a contract in Japan.

If I may quote myself

Every team illegally shuts down attack inside their own 22, the AB's (at least today) get/got away with it.

Amazing sidestep by Folau, Dagg was humiliated

Incredibly unfair!! I'm guessing you have never played rugby. Given the angles both Folau and Dagg were coming from Dagg was never going to stop him. Not to take anything away from a superb play from Folau though.

Oh FFS Dagg was skinned just accept it.
If I may quote myself
You mean they get away with it year after year. And the position on the field is irrelevant. The amount of penalties they give away they should have had way more YC for repeated infringements. But considering any referee who dares to dish out a yellow card in a BC game that can effect the outcome will get slaughtered and fired by Paddy O Brian. Happened before. So they tend to take the safe road and avoid it.

I just can't see how Australia will score enough points, they looked almost incapable of scoring tries last week, their kicking game was average, and their forwards gave up more and more as the game went on. I expect some improvement from them this week but I don't think it will be enough to really trouble the ABs.

ABs by 12!

Well 11 then! While the score was closer I don't think OZ improved much at all. They didnt show any signs of scoring tries, just another chance try! Their D may have improved a touch but thats about it!

It must be a coaching decision to tell their outside backs to kick not counter which I find strange. I think Mogg is a much better player than he has looked these first two games and I like to see him get more of a chance to run.

In terms of Cooper, he looked quite good actually, he might find himself starting soon. I find the NZ crowd embarrassing to be honest! I wish they'd stop the booing!

In terms of NZ cheating? I don't think they do it more than other teams, maybe just do it smarter. OZ were standing all over the wrong side of the ruck all night trying to slow down the ABs, trouble is it was blatantly obvious and they got nailed for it. The ABs were clearly slowing the OZ ball down illegally when the Ozzies were in the red zone, maybe they deserved a card, but that's the refs fault and IMO the ABs just push it as far as they can. It's part of the game and the ABs are smart about it!

Looking forward to ABs SA!!

sifplay has been reinstated; normal transmission is resumed...

Bleat - Whinge - Whine - Moan - Justice4 Bakkies - we are soooo victimised! Blah! Blah! Blah!

I wonder if you actually have anything USEFUL to contribute to the discussion, or are you just going to be a wianker the whole time you are here!

Umm...

Paddy O'Brien only ever really had a go at Stuart Dickinson - after a shambolic display in All Blacks against Italy. Regardless, like all of your posts its just a big wind up because I'm sure you're well aware Paddy O'Brien isn't even head of the IRB Referee Board. Good to see you didn't waste time before spouting rubbish to annoy people.

Not you again ;) Mate, Folau was awesome and I'm not taking anything away from him, BUT to say Dagg got humiliated is rubbish.
he beat Israel Dagg easily (the second time in two weeks that Dagg has looked like a....dagg)

Its not a wind up. Check the penalty count for both matches and check where they took place. And all by Crusaders players mostly. Hardly surprising considering "cheat and pray" is the doctrine promoted at that franchise. Crusaders players, forwards to be precise (front, second and back rowers), are consistent "cheats" at Super 15 or International level.

Whitelock dwells in the same cellar that Crockett occupies. The vindictive, thug cheats refuge. When the attacking side gets inside the 40, watch the crooks hood up and get to work. Inside the 25 they up the anti with murderous intent. A sporting contest is one thing. Outright cheating is not sport at all.

And btw a SA official was fired cause of a yellow given in a BC game. And not it was not for a Kiwi but for a Aussie. So go read my post again before ******* your panties.

There's a certain irony about a springbok fan complaining about another team's forwards being thugs/breaking the rules.

Bok thugs like who? Put your money where your mouth is.

Just for note that TRC table is wrong. Argentina got a bonus point for losing inside 7. They should be above Australia
