Now that it's all in one place I'll go with my predictions:

- Hurricanes
- Stormers
- Crusaders
- Highlanders
- Draw (Sharks vs Chiefs)
- Lions
- Jags

I think most of the results are pretty cut and dry this week, not that upsets won't happen (after last week I'd give the Wolves and the Blues an outside shot).

The games that will be the most interesting for me are:
- Jags v Bulls (can the Jags continue their run of good form, I do think part of their recent dominant has come from their forward pack which they may not get from the Bulls)
- Sharks vs Chiefs (Chiefs are a great side but it's the second game on tour and the Sharks are really capable of anything depending on which team pitches up, for me this is the hardest match to call because of the Sharks schizophrenic performances)

Both are HUGE games conference wise, the 4 top NZ sides are pretty much through so all the scrambling is going to happen in the SA/ARG conference.

I've pretty much accepted it's not the Stormers year, still love my boys but back to the drawing board for next year I reckon, will be shouting for the Bulls and the Sharks!

I think the Bulls will be jetlagged from the trip to Buenos Aires. It will affect them; hence I've gone for a home victory.

I couldn't separate the Sharks and Chiefs; hence the draw.

Bulls are also without Gqoboka and Lood. Both picked up injuries in the Sharks game and will be out for the rest of the tournament and the England tour.

It's a big blow for us. We now lost both our premier loosehead props for the tournament.

The Chiefs are without all their All Blacks, amongst all their other injuries. 20 players out altogether!

Every game from here on is a final for us (all RSA conference i guess). I feel reasonably confident against the bulls at home.
It will be tight and i forgot to factor in that the chiefs wont be using their ABs.
Still, all the games we have left are against our direct competition, so it is up to us. And, they have to play the Lions, we do not.
We are the only team that hasn't won a single bonus point in the entire competition and i'm afraid we might pay for it.

Agree. Not only the bp we stupidly lost, the reds game at home was another avoidable lost of points.
My fear is that Jaguares tend to underperform when they feel they can be fauvorites, like it could be the case in this game. Hopefully the confidence gained in the last tour allow us keep playing with the same clarity and intelligence.

My pick
Hurricanes
Stormers
Crusaders
Highlanders
Sharks
Lions
Jaguares

This style of thread really encourages posters to comment on games where they would not have necessarily commented on.

My Picks:
Hurricanes to win against the Reds 15+

Stormers to do what they do not know how to do and take an away victory over the Sunwolves on a neutral venue in Hong Kong. I expect this game ot be very close.

Sharks to easily beat the Chiefs especially since their All Blacks have been withdrawn. Maybe a bonus point is on the cards?

Lions to beat the Brumbies by 15+

Blues vs Crusaders is going to be interesting. The Blues are at home and surely they have less All Blacks than the Crusaders, so they might be less affected by this training camp. So Blues to win.

Highlanders should edge out a close game against the Waratahs

Jags should take this game against the Bulls at home if you consider their recent tour. But then again the Bulls are on fire as a team and has beaten the Sharks home and away. I think Bulls might just edge a very close game. (Game of the Weekend.)

The Jags have a tough run of fixtures coming up against the Bulls, Sharks and Stormers. Home and away, this is where they can prove their real quality as its very tight! none of these teams would want to give anything away. This conference is going to be where all the tension will emanate from in the final weeks.

geez, you are way more confident than me about the picks. I think this will be a lot closer.

Hurricanes I think will run away with this one.
Stormers to win it against the Sunwolves by 5
Sharks to edge the Chiefs by 4
Lions to edge the Brumbies by 7 (both arrived in SA this week, both coming off a loss)
Crusaders to beat the Blues by 7+
Highlanders to edge the Tahs. This game will depend a lot on the Tahs, and how their backline feature and If Folau will pitch up.
Jags to win comfortably against the Bulls. We're going to struggle in the Scrums.

I actually think the most likely "upset" is the Blues, they looked much better last week, and the Saders looked vulnerable. I'll have to wait for a line-up first because I hear they may have to rest the Ioane's but with the rest of their returning stars I don't see why not.

I wouldn't consider a Chiefs or Bulls win to be an upset, those games could go either way. Stormers also in for a chance at a loss.

Am i the only one who finds it suspicious that the ref for the Jaguares vs Bulls game in Argentina was changed at the last minute from a neutral ref to a Argentinian ref?

Please, check the "neutrals referees" in Jaguares home and away matches in the past weeks. Then, if you want, continues being suspicious.

I don't agree that every time we play against an SA team we get an SA referee.

We've had:
SA refs while playing against SA teams
NZ refs while playing against NZ teams
AUS refs while playing against AUS teams
and not once we've been refereed by an Argentine ref

Not the team you should be suspicious of.

Isnt Retallick playing?

He played last week, but all the ABs (Retallick, McKenzie, ALB, Harris) have had to return home for a training camp (and Cane has obviously remained in NZ for the same reason).

Well I certainly raised my eyebrows when I saw who the referee is, and it's not because of his nationality. Frederico Anselmi. He caught my attention on the 7's circuit before he got "upgraded" to SANZAAR.

My issue with him is the manner in which he officiates, and usually you will get one of the captains complaining to him about a call he's made, and then it seems like he get flustered and backs off. He doesn't seem too sure of himself.

With that said, he's a better referee than some of the other guys on the panel. So I'm willing to give him a fair chance... But I will keep an eye on him and his officiating of this match.

Its not about the ref not being neutral. Its the timing of the appointment and the sudden u turn with the previous ref.
