Springboks vs Wallabies, July 24th 2010, Third Tri Nations Test

I agree, he's not just a boot. He's a big lump and can move when he wants to. He is missing the guile of a world class back, but he's young and could learn with time.

Why do i keep typing MaCaw instead of McCaw? Sorry if that annoyed some people. Still though, why the little 'c' then the big 'C'? Is it a scottish thing? McVagina.

Michael Jordan, mate. :p
I thought you meant Michael Jackson :p

i find that incredibly offensive. The only way you can apologise to me is to remove whoever said that stupid comment in your signature. That offends me also.

It's not a B Team, but it's also not the strongest possible team we could field. In my opinion, this is the strongest team we could have without injuries:

15. Patrick Lambie
14. Gerhard vd Heever
13. Jaque Fourie
12. Francois Steyn
11. Francois Hougaard
10. Morne steyn

9. Fourie du Preez

8. Pierre Spies/Ryan Kankowski
7. Juan smith
6. Francois Louw/Heinrich Brussouw
5. Victor Matfield
4. Andries bekker
3. CJ vd Linde
2. Craig Burden - I have said it since i saw him the first time. He is the new Schalk Brits. He was a winger originally!
1. Gurthro Steenkamp

Some dodgy selections, but this is a team full of flair.

I love your selection of STEYN at inside centre. He was brilliant there in the 2007 Rugby World Cup. What skill, I loved his one hand pick up, acceleration and slide over in one of the matches. He also made the England midfield look like soft margarine when he cut through them, much like Israel Dagg did to SA in the last test.

I apologise if I offended anybody re "B" Team statement, what I meant is that there are far better players available for the Rugby World Cup next year and that the NEW chaps can take positives out of this as they have gained experience which will help in the Group stages of next years Rugby World Cup!

But i love you. :(

Yes you remember well. I think some people are getting confused by the fact that McCaw did not play in any of the June tests. Thomson played 7 in the 1st test loss v France and Latimer played 7 in the second test against France and the one-off v Italy.

Yeah, my note of McCaw's admission was more on the side of NZ's crap season in genera;, not focussing on the Tri Nations.

HAHA. You really are the gayest straight man in the world! Seriously, that team i put down earlier would be **** hot in my opinion.

Glad to see Drew Mitchell there, and AAC back at FB where he is best used,

I'm not that impressed by JOC, he was very good in that BaaBaas match, but then anonymous in the Australia game he played after.

Roll on saturday :D

I am backing JOC to score 2 of a total of 3 tries against us; our players have found him difficult to get a hold off since he started playing us and with our defense as it is.. all he needs to do is run at Smit, Spies or Matfiled and trytime.

Spies only missed one tackle in the last game. Sadly it did lead to a try, but there were a billion other tackles missed in scoring the try.

I have a pal in the media and in AUS at the moment :

Yesterday the boks had an open training session where the media could come in and have a look at our boys, this pal of mine decided to tag along and see if there was a story or so in the air, now most blokes write about Divvy and his stupid selections and this and that so he decided to look for some thing out of the ordinary and blimy there it was, strangely enough, he was the only media member to notice it, there wasn't a single Bulls player on the field, while the rest of the blokes were doing a bit of a little running up and down the field all smiling and joking with one another as if there was no worry in the world, but not one Bulls player was present. He thought that was odd and was worth writing about. Ever so gently, with one eye on security the other on the rest of the media personnel, he took his notebook and sneaked away. Walking as a 'mind my own business I'm part of the setup' man he managed to enter the change rooms and that's where he noticed the shocking scene of a Springbok team being devided as never before, in a circle sat Victor, Danie, Pierre, Wynand, Zane, Morne, Dewald, Guthro, Francious hougaard and even Chilly.

They were holding one another, shivering, some had tears and one could clearly see they are very uncomfortable with the situation they were finding themselves in right now. Some were asking Victor "what are we to do cappy " but Victor had no answers, scared to intrude (there are a few big men) my pal approached and offered his advise upon hearing the question if they were willing share their concern with him, then Victor rose, angry and upset that this man has managed to enter their change room and just before he charged to give my pal the beating of his life, that's when he noticed it, saving my pals arse big time was the fact that he was wearing his B & I Lions jersey. Victor fought to hold back the tears as his team mates rose behind him and stepped closer, and then Victor asked: " Sir , me and the Bulls would like to know … how do you deal with losing two games in a row? "

Don't think he was serious..

Spies might have performed better in defense in the second game but he does have some consistency issues WRT tackling. Hell, just last year he was bringing guys done while ripping the ball half of the time only to bounce off every second tackle in the next game.

In general our defense was woeful. Moving backwards and waiting for the attackers. Probably because we were so stretched with the ball comin out lightning quick from the NZ rucks and with de Villiers a liability on the wing. Hope we fare better against Aus. We should but only if our forwards get the upper hand.

Cheers for that Captain Oblivious.

Im am soo tired of hearing the subtle *****ing in the SA media. It really is going to do my nutter in.

There is so little patriotism it scares me.

Pienaar is not selected- ***** about it.
Pienaar is selected- Media (and the public follow suit) ***** about how he will be the deciding factor in the game, and that should he have started against NZ SA would have taken advantage of them.
Frans Steyn not selected- ***** about it.
Frans Steyn not selected because he and de Villiers have personal issues. All of which was bandeed about in the media, and then accepted as fact just because 'it was in the newspaper, and they have contacts'
Chilliboy selected- ***** about it
Chiliboy plays reasonably well when subbed on- ***** on about how Botha or Liebenberg would have had a greater impact in the last 10 or so minutes Chilliboy played.
Botha gets selected- Praise for trusting a player of his caliber after such a long lay-off
Botha gets sent off- ***** on about how Rossouw should have been selected, as he was the player on form, and Botha's sending off was a result of starting such a high profile test match after such a long break.
Kankowski selected- Praise for his selection but ***** on about the lack of a Potgeiter/ Louw.

I know its not all in chronological order

And please note, I don't think all SA supporters are involved in this hogwash.
Actually don't care wether SA win or lose, as there will be an equal amount of skullduggery by the media and public regardless of the result.
Oh, and the fact I got a reply from Supersport saying that broadcasting the Magners league wouldn't be 'value for money'

rant over
