Spring Tour: South Africa v England -2nd Test. (16/06/2012 15:00GMT)

That's the game then.

Considering the size difference Flood has dealt with F.Steyn with ease.

Lovely try to possibly seal the win. Would have laughed if Youngs had managed to get underneath Pietersen's elaborate dive.

Morne Steyn useless once again!!!

Side note: Just feel sorry for whoever's ear Heyneke Meyer seems to shout at throughout the whole match

High tackle on Ashton and then shoulder barge on Waldrom...

When did the new law come in that said south Africans don't have to wrap the arms in a tackle? Or was this game mungoball so that JP tackle was legal?

Whats really frustrating is the fact that SA havent had to do anything spectacular to beat us. The entire England team has taken the ball standing still except for one or two occasions (Waldrom mainly) when they have made ground. Yes the very first try was a bit of a strange one as far as the refs decision (or lack of) but the bottom line is that we have made too many mistakes and looked blunt in attack compared to SA. Not to mention you cant play international rugby for 40 minutes and expect a result.
Our basics were poor a case in point was JJ's kick to Pietersen for the final try which he took out of the 22 and then stuck it down JP's throat. Stick it 20 metres ahead off the park and you negate the possibility of a counter.

So what changes do we make for the 3rd Test. Do we blood a few new guys in a test match and say S**t or bust or do we stick with what we have and try to restore some pride?

While English fans will obviously be disappointed, I must say that I've been pleased with the competitiveness of the NH teams today. It certainly appears that the gap that existed 3 or 4 years ago is indeed narrowing.

haha what's the point of Waldrom being such a fat pie if Pietersen can just shove him out like that? That white jersey is extremely unflattering for him, even the props look better in it than him.

Well done Bokke, won it with a blitzkrieg early on. Please get rid of Morne! Could have had 50 points if all the kicks had gone over. It's now clear Lambie is better than him in every aspect of the game.

Well, Morne really should be off the team... This was horrible! The only reason this was close, was him missing 3 conversions and 4 penalties... That's 18 points!!!

****ING HELL! First try was not legal, absolutely disgustingly poor refereeing. Apart from that we did exceptionally at putting ourselves under pressure in the first half. Game perforated with poor calls against England throughout. How many high/armless tackles can the ref miss. Badcalls at the scrum as well. Young's first try should have been a yellow against South Africa for the tackle as well as the try. And then terrible tackling after JJs kick undid all the good work in the game.

We should have been able to get the win but what can you do with a start like that :S

If it was a legal tackle it wouldn't have happened, though.

Getting annoyed at Youngs as well. Sure he can run with the ball a bit - but with Dicko playing we definitely wouldn't have conceded the first try or be under so much **** pressure at the back of our scrums.

Well for a start theres no longer any excuse to waste spaces on stop-gaps like Mears. Fine, he has some experience at this level but now that we've lost we may as well just chuck all our young guys in at the deep-end and tell them to play. I say that but the coaches will stay want to win and to dothat you play your best team.
I'd say bring in Care to start with Youngs as an impact sub. Bring in the Hask at 6 for Johnson. Give Waldrom a start? Seems to be counter to what I'm saying about playing young guys.

Backline - Tuilagi on the wing? Allen - Joseph midfield? Tom Youngs onto the bench in place of Mears. Palmer to start instead of Botha. Wade worth a shot? Meh. I don't have any answers really.

DAMM!

Dont know if I agree twith the first try bit, all youngs did was put it in and then the TJ and ref between them either dont know the laws or bottled it. Youngs maybe redeemed himself a bit later on but made some very strange decisions like trying to run from behind the try line and getting scragged. Maybe Dickson next week even if its just to get some test experience.

Wheres Christian Wade is he injured?
