2012 IRB Junior World Championship

Argentina are only 12 points up, and are starting to get tired. The reserve scrummie went out injured, so they're playing a winger at 9, the tight 5 are getting cramps and the reserve hooker is not scrummaging well at all. Momentum definitely with Scotland now.

The Irish lads need to cop on - they're not going to lose, but they need tries to go through. Stop with the clearance kicks. Run your way out.

How did Nelson/Farrell do?

Scotland score after the buzzer, final result 17-12 to Argentina, who top pool C and will likely get the second or third seed.

Argentina bearing the fruits of the 2007 World Cup success?

certainly the most success a junior Pumas team has had at this level before,

by the way, go to 3:18 of this video and watch the skill of the Argentina full back, it's phenomenal

I thought Nelson had a good game. Seemed to be one of the few Irish players who didn't immediately drop the ball upon receiving it.

Wales lead 25-3, with the four try BP in the bag. So unless Samoa and/or Fiji pull off something really unbelievable, the Baby Blacks will be fourth seeds and will play Wales or England.

What was McGrath's try like? Glad to see him finally get a start.

Scrum on half way, number 8 flicks it back to McGrath. Kicks over the winger, collects, steps full back. Good score, but it was abject defence from the Italian full back.

Wales looked good, although Samoa were a bit all over the place, Wales were pretty much scoring at will towards the end.

Welsh forwards look quite strong I've got to say. We normally struggle physically against the big boys at this level, but there's some physical boys in this Welsh team. Quite impressed by Daniel Thomas at 7, really dominated the breakdown. The backs are looking good as well. With two physical centres, Matthew Morgan is free to run the show with the fallback of being able to ship on poor ball. Prydie's kicking is good which is always important.

Finally, great impact from the bench, especially the forward replacements.

We have a genuine chance of making the final. I'd expect us to lose against NZ if we come up against them again in decent conditions though......

I like how the commentators are going on like England might want to be best winner, so they can get fourth place to play. Like ******** we do! Enjoy NZ again boyos ^_^

Did no one teach the baby Boks to play the whistle?
Ball was ripped from the English players hands and the Boks just stood around while England got it back.

Well, it seems that some things that sounded very unlikely could actually happen. If NZ fail to get the BP, France would go through. And a 4-0 win by SA would give Ireland the top of the pool...

Strong start to the second half from South Africa. Try + conversion. 7 - 5 now.

Nevermind that 14 - 5 now to New Zealand. They'll need two more tries to advance ahead of France.
