Baby Orcs team, for the thrashing of Mini-Micks

1 Alec Hepburn
2 Koree Britton
3 Kyle Sinckler
4 Dom Barrow
5 George Merrick
6 Dave Sisi
7 Ben Nutley
8 Jack Clifford
9 Ben Spencer
10 Tom Heathcote
11 Charlie Walker
12 Ryan Mills (C)
13 Will Addison
14 Marland Yarde
15 Tommy Bell

16 Max Crumpton
17 Luke Cowan-Dickie
18 Ross Harrison
19 Sam Twomey
20 Chris Walker
21 Dan Robson
22 Sam Hill
23 Ben Ransom

Boom. The Irish team, for those interested, is the same as from the SA game but with Shane Buckley and Olding promoted to the bench in place of Conneelly and Sherlock. All due respect to the Irish, but I like the look of that England team a lot, plus we have the advantage of basically rotating in 10 new players (I think).

We will crush you. Revenge!

Should be a good match. Ireland played far better against SA than they did in the 6 nations. Its supposed to be the best England side ever at this age level so surely they can't lose! ;)

He looks like some drunken yob in Ibiza.

Why play a weakened team for your toughest pool match? I think Wales deserve a bit more respect.

With the current state of affairs in Wales age group, we'll take what we can get buddy :p

After the nippers were shamelessly rogered, it is understandable, but thanks :).

Ross Jones (Ospreys); Tom Prydie (Dragons), Cory Allen (Blues), Jack Dixon (Dragons), Eli Walker (Ospreys); Matthew Morgan (Ospreys), Tom Habberfield (Ospreys); Rob Evans (Scarlets), Kirby Myhill (Scarlets), Samson Lee (Scarlets), Cory Hill (capt, Blues), Matthew Screech (Blues), Luke Hamilton (Blues), Ellis Jenkins (Blues), Dan Baker (Ospreys)
Replacements: Darran Harris, Gareth Thomas, Willgriff John, Rhodri Hughes, Daniel Thomas, Jonathan Evans, Sam Davies (Ospreys), Thomas Pascoe (Blues)

We are going for size in midfield. Surprised that Daniel Thomas and Jonathan Evans aren't starting.
Just look at this boy:

He has to be the most adorable scrumhalf since Ricky Januarie. Play Evans and Morgan together and you'd think it is a U12s match.

What's the story with Watson? Where is he? It's unfortunate the way the scheduling has worked out hope we can deal with it. Surprised Conneelly's gone he could have been very useful of the bench.

Edit: Hope someone decks Merrick.

England vs Ireland:
15 Tommy Bell (London Wasps)
14 Marland Yarde (London Irish)
13 Will Addison (Sale Sharks)
12 Ryan Mills (Gloucester Rugby) (C)
11 Charlie Walker (Harlequins)
10 Tom Heathcote (Bath Rugby)
9 Ben Spencer (Saracens)
1 Alec Hepburn (London Wasps)
2 Koree Britton (Gloucester Rugby)
3 Kyle Sinckler (Harlequins)
4 Dominic Barrow (Leeds Carnegie)
5 George Merrick (Harlequins)
6 David Sisi (London Irish)
7 Ben Nutley (Northampton Saints)
8 Jack Clifford (Harlequins)
Replacements

16 Max Crumpton (Saracens)
17 Luke Cowan-Dickie (Exeter Chiefs)
18 Ross Harrison (Sale Sharks)
19 Sam Twomey (Harlequins)
20 Chris Walker (Leeds Carnegie)
21 Dan Robson (Gloucester Rugby)
22 Sam Hill (Exeter Chiefs)
23 Ben Ransom (Saracens)

Probably our first choice XV (though I don't particularly rate Merrick, and I think Harrison is better than Sinckler).
Can't wait!

Edit: Peat beat me to it by ages.
Too drunk.

At 6.20? You raging alcoholic. Bless you and your enthusiasm though.

BG8 - Watson's injured unfortunately. As for Conneelly, I thought Buckley was a better player last year and is probably the same this year, and you can understand why Ruddock's gone for the bigger man. That said, with us having an out and out openside on the pitch and on the bench, think Ruddock might have gambled wrong. We shall see.

Profitus - Dunno who you heard it from, but this Ire U20 team was good to very good to ooops in the U20 6N, while if this is the strongest England U20 team ever I'm surprised...

Watched all of our under 20 6N games (except the england game) and thought we looked very light weight, unable to impose our game (if indeed we do have one). Also seen very little of these at regional level so don't really know what to expect from this next gen.

Do you think we will do better than last years 90+ point drubbing from the baby blacks?

I'd be very surprised if we put 90 points on you guys this year! Our team is not as strong as last season, and Wales look like they have picked there top XV (or close to it) this year (whereas last season they basically threw the game by picking a 'b' side). I'd expect we will certainly look to target your inside backs with our loose-forwards, as we have some big powerful ball runners who will really enjoy running at Morgan! In saying that, I'm not convinced about the defensive ability of our 10 (Eade) so Wales may use the same tactics. I'd predict a reasonably comfortable win for NZ, by 20-30 points.....

So it'll only be a 50 point win this year eh ?;)

Just saw the first one, the kid Ross looks quality at 7, also West's distribution at 10 was a feature and the wee centre - was it emery? - has serious toe. Frasier Armstrong was part of that world champ Hamilton Boys XV 2 years ago, he's a proper beast. Most confidence comes from having Rob Penny to coach though.

Yeah it was Emery at centre - he absolute class. Fortunately for Wales he isn't playing this match! I assume you mean Heenan at 7 (Nick Ross is the lock) - I agree he looked classy, but Hugh Blake (who is starting at 7 against Wales), is very good too. Next game at 2.45am tomorrow morning!

I hope Allen plays well makes me seem more impressive in a really warped sense. Sorry if it seems like I have a complex about him.

I'm exactly the same :p I stepped him in training back in the day, so if he's ever capped I can boast that I stepped an international player :D sad thing is, he probably wasn't even trying...

Just incase anyone wanted to bet on Wales u20. There is awful weather there at the moment so i'd back them with the giant handicap they have been given...

Hoping for a close game, we all know how rain can influence matches :)

Wales maul is going well so far.

Morgan kicking poorly Wales could be ahead. 3-0 to N.Z. after 20 minutes.

Edit: I say that and he finally gets one 3 all.
