Springboks vs Wallabies, July 24th 2010, Third Tri Nations Test

I hope ARU is gonna make a video also for Rocky: "Don't kick it!!"

Was a definite eye gouge from the replay at the end, in game it looked like "Connection with the eye area" from the last angle at the end it looked like "Can you see my fingerprint?"

Yeah definitely an eye-gouge in there... Showed during the replays. Can he be cited now that it wasn't spotted?

I believe my prediction of +15 was out by only 2 points :D

Yeah, citing commissioner will watch the replay again as we speak, over and over I suppose, scrutinizing every second of it. Even if the ref didn't pick it up, they might..

I think in a couple of year, Genia will be the best 9 in the World, passing Fourie Du Preez too.
He can "easy" become better than Gregan.

I just want to spot on Rob Horne: maybe not fed enough while attacking, but he has a great defensive match!

Take it you didn't see the Reds vs Bulls game? Genia stomped all over Du Preez.

Guthro Steenkamp try

Looks something feeshy with that maul though
Brilliant try - execution was top class. But we were thinking truck & trailer. If Matfield passed directly to Steenkamp, then the players in front of him were offside and obstructing. Couldn't see in the replay, and it wasn't analysed after the match - maybe the ball went to the fair haired player with his back to the line, who then gave it to Steenkamp as he came charging in.

Ah, fair enough.

PDV will really hate Ireland now. 3 Irish refs and 3 hidings, lookin forward to what he comes up with over the next few days. Can't see the Bok's doin any better at home they are that far off the pace with these new rules. Definitely suit NZ and AUS style of play alot better.

Its not the refs fault that he cant pick a decent team and inspire them to actually play well...

I saw it, but it's one match, in the end the Bulls won the S14, and we clearly see what are the Springboks without FdP... so maybe FdP is still the best one because of many other things (experience, kicking, influence on teammates...), but Genia is coming soon.

And there is also Morgan Parra, of the same age...

Genia dominated pretty much all the halfbacks in the tournament, we're talking about halfbacks not the team who won the Super 14.

Anyone spot the Eye gouge from Burger on Pocock and the punch/hit to the back of the neck later in the game also Burger on Pocock.
Didn't see the punch, but i mentioned the eyegouge a few pages back :p

Another banned Bokke player (if the citing officers (?) do their job, that is)

I can't believe Clancy is in charge of this game. He is an average ref in the magners league ... and not a great international ref.

I thought that Clancy was a great ref tonight! The number of times a scrum went down and the play was allowed to continue because the ball was already at the back was great. As opposed to every other tri-nations match so far which has had them called back. Also there were a number of times where borderline mistakes were made by both teams within quick succession of one another and play was allowed to continue.

The punch was after the ball had moved on, Burger seemed to hit Pocock in the back of the neck, like they do when they slap someones hand off them, only he did it to Pococks neck.

Gotta say the Wallabies looked like they were out on their feet mid way through the second half, but other than that they really dominated and if they only had better hands this game would have been a serious blow out. I counted around 6 missed try scoring opportunities from the wallabies? Got to say that O'Connor was absolutely brilliant too. I've had my doubts about him, but he was at his elusive best and also brilliant in defence! Gotta love that tackle he put on Matfield!
