[RWC2023] Australia vs Fiji (17/09/2023)

Part 2, sat next to Irishman to Nantes. Let's say he's feeling confident on making the final!

Now for connecting flight to Lyon where I will now look at people in a perplexed manner when they attempt to speak the native tongue to me

I think the Aussie backs were a success last week, especially Donaldson (taking pressure off Gordon). So I think the Aussies can score plenty points. Unlike Wales they have had a full week of preperation to exploit Fiji clearly being unable to kick all but the most straightforward penalties. I can see the best Fiji side in history being effectively eliminated from the RWC in the first half and their heads dropping.

Australia 45 - 20 Fiji

Would love for Fiji to win this but unfortunately can't see it. Think that the Australians will be much better at handling the Fijian ball carriers than the Welsh were after having played the Drua.

Can someone ban TommiG 🥹
I was drinking mostly Belgian beer in France this summer, Leffe Ruby... that's so good, and they have this one in almost every shop in France🥹🥹only Kriek is better

Ooooh, thanks for the reminder! Kriek for the hangover next Sunday, sorted.

Very invested in this one. Hoping for a Fiji win, and then Australia to get a big winning margin on Wales so that both Australia and Fiji go through.

Sorry Wales supporters, but Fiji I think got screwed over in your last game (no fault of your own, it's on the ref) and I think (after the Springboks vs Wales game) that Australia are likely the better team out of Australia and Wales. Start participating more in the URC forums and perhaps then I'll back you more, like I back our Irish besties ❤️

Yeah, that's what I want - I'm not particularly fussed about which two of Australia/Wales/Fiji go through but Fiji winning this keeps it a three horse race, which makes it more exciting
