RWC Quarter Final: Ireland - Wales (08-10-2011, 18:00)

Well done Wales. They scored more tries, looked more dangerous in attack, were better in defence, dominated the breakdown, kicked better tactically and are well deserving of their win.

Now go and win the competition!

Wales have been bloody quality today, I'm ecstatic :D
If England make the semis they're going to get rinsed, though!

Wales coming out of the pool of death, proving to be in good stead.

Congrats wales best defensive display I have ever seen fully deserving winners Warbuton and Co. are top class.

They on occassion had the bounce of the ball but by god defense alone means you deserve that game ...

I have to say I am dissapointed with the Irish performance , sad for BOD and POC it was possiblt the best oppertunity Ireland will ever have to make a final ..

Wales for WC!

I don't understand the Irish attackign strategy. If you are going to run at the defence, do it at speed and straight. Ireland are going slowly and running sideways. Will never penetrate a line that way.

He has hit the posts three times in this comp, he wins the RWC 2011 cross bar challenge by a mile.

I reckon we could see a thread by sigesige00 saying the IRB should introduce a new law, that if a penalty hits the posts, and the attacking team doesn't gather the rebound they should get 2 points.

1 point for conversions.

Shaun Edwards, deserves a hugh pay rise. It is a shame one of these two had to go home, great game and well deserved by Wales.

It's Alan Gaffney's signature. The Waratahs are welcome to him.

Agreed, I don't think it matters as all whether England or France wins, because Wales are going to smash them.

I have a nasty feeling the England-France game is going to leave us with a rather bitter taste in our mouths.

Will take some doing to match even half the entertainment of this game.

In the year that a world cup is scheduled to happen, the number of times the countries nominated kicker has hit to the posts/crossbar is added up and the country with the highest number wins outright

This was a great game congrats to the welsh I will support them for the rest of the tounament. sorry for the Irish I didn't want these two to meet so early, oh well go Wales
