[2015 Six Nations] England vs France (Round 5)

The laws don't look at that though, do they? I'm not sure of the exact wording of the ruling, but Plisson did land on his head/neck with his feet on the air, and I'm led to believe that's a straight no-mercy no-excuses red card.

Nope - only if the tackler actively lifts the player.

Wow, what just happened?!
I was still fuming that we didn't get a penalty at that ruck before the charge down when it suddenly cut to JJ in the French 22!

Better England, better............ now only 19 points to go with the conversion to come!!!!

Hold the "black and tans" in the pumps, Boyos!!!

hey girl :)
nice to see a lady on a rugby forum :D :D

There are a few and very welcome they are too....

We're far, far more clinical in this game at least than we were against Scotland which is giving me hope, really needed another at least before half time and we've got it. :)

I'm pretty happy Owens didn't come to that ruling, I'm pleased there's still some common sense around, but I was afraid he would when the replay came on.

I've not heard that before, though I'm not fully read up on the rulings etc.
However I've seen numerous "chop tackles" where the player has basically tripped over the tackler and face planted. Never once has the referee paid it any attention, but that's landing on their head.

What a try! Didn't understand that penalty though, but still brilliant call on the quick lineout.

The French passing from the base of the ruck has been poor this half - so many passes hitting the floor before the receiver.
