Your Lions Squad Following the 6N

Damn I was wondering if they'd put Selmy in pity the don't have the whole pretense of Whitebeard and no Strong Belwas!

Game of Thrones XV time I hear you cry?

Ok then.

1. Strong Belwas-Wide of girth but agile, quick and tenacious. Strong technician.
2. Jorah Mormont-Large bear of a man, experienced.
3. Robert Baratheon-In his younger days may have been an 8 or lock but extra weight pushes him into the frontrow.
4. Hodor-Over 7 feet adds great weight will do grunt work as told.
5. Gregor Clegane-Tough enforcer. At over 8 feet should be a good lineout option and strong carrier.
6. Sandor Clegane-Tall and a lineout option. Has a bit of dog about him.
7. Khal Drogo-Quick and a fighter.
8. Renly Baratheon-A younger version of his brother physically imposing. Questions about his tempermant and tenacity but thats not something this pack lacks.
9.Robb Stark-Strong tactician and a scrapper but lacks the whats needed to be a 10.
10. Tywin Lannister-The master tactician. Feared by opposing teams.
11. Loras Tyrell-Lightning fast great technician. Has the reclessness of youth.
12. Jon Snow-Has to be in somewhere. Tough as nails another with good tactical understanding.
13. Jaime Lannister-The pretty boy of the team but eying up the one on the left wing. Arrogant but not without good reason. (Jaime from the first book)
14. Petyr Baelish-Not much on first appearance but can make something out of nothing.
15. Eddard Stark-Loyal and committed puts his head on the line.

Sorry for this terrible post.

BG8 I thought you were bored and created a team on playstation or something ha

Pokemon XV:

1. Venusaur (nothing needs to be said)
2. Nidoking (could use horn to good effect in the middle of the scrum, illegally but hey...)
3. Golem (absolute beast)
4. Machamp (4 hands, great for securing line-out ball. Has plenty of ball-carrying bulk too)
5. Doduo (May not have hands but is friggin' tall from what I can remember, so could use it's two heads to bat the ball back down to the scrum half)
6. Charizard (Obviously)
7. Sandslash (would use those giant claws to go digging into the rucks)
8. Snorlax (Would put Ben Morgan's ball-carrying to shame)

9. Geodude (wanted someone with fairly long arms, but also quite small and nippy)
10. Mewtwo (cleverest Pokemon out there, has a good brain for 10)
11. Rapidash (some decent speed but has a bit of bulk too)
12. Machoke (Great distributing skills, I believe he would play like O'Driscoll)
13. Tauros (going for the ball-crasher here, not overly huge but just enough to cause a bit of chaos. Good horns for the occasional stab as well)
14. Hitmonchan (I dunno, but he just looks like he should be a winger)
15. Lickitung (Using his huge sticky tongue to great effect when catching the high ball)

So this is what happens when we've had a Lions thread for 2 years...

I'm having difficulty disputing this team to be honest. Except for your choice of number 8. Really not mobile enough to play 8. I would put Hitmonchan in there, and put Hitmonlee on the wing mate. Imagine the hand off of Hitmonchan.

I know what you're trying to say, but when you've got someone as f***ing huge as snorlax in your team, who needs mobility? He'll flatten the whole Australian squad just by rolling over.

Honestly don't see Hitmonchan as a No.8, sorry. Have you seen how scrawny that guy is:

I just can't see him as anything other than a winger or scrum-half. But agreed, he would have a damn amazing hand-off. Pretty long legs as well, probably got quite a bit of pace.

My main worry with Snorlax is that he wouldn't be able to keep up in a blitz defense.

Alakazam would be killer in the backline. Imagine the wrap arounds he could do. *pass* *teleport* *pass* *teleport*...
