The Next Lions Squad

Munster Man: A question----Do you think Donnacha Ryan will make a Test Lock??? i like the look of the guy...just wondering as you probably see more of him in the Magners than I have.... I think Devon Toner from Leinster will become a fine player but needs to lose the falling tree syndrome!!! I aslo like the look of Sean O Brien for 7 in the future.... Reason why im mentioning these, is obvious, but they look to be the future of Irish forward play and could become future Lions?????????????????

pity we cant get onto Marty McFLy and the Delorian and have a peak: Maybe MJ will eventually succomb to the wills of the beautiful game and pick the talent like Foden and Cipriani instead of throwing in Sam Spud Andy Goode and Wilting Willow Toby Flood along with the greatest plastic man of all time Wilko:even though i love him!! What are the odds??? this is me watching the English apart from Delon the flier --- zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
zzzzzzzzzzzz...... then i wake up for the 2nd half and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really hope Scotland can do well in the next four 6 Nations so that there can be at least 5 or 6 Scots in the next Lions squad

LOL!

Lets be serious now...
Which Scots do you think can make the Lions 2013 squad?I think that all these players below have a fair chance of making it:

Ross Ford
Euan Murray(if he doesn't retire)
Phil Godman
Thom Evans
Max Evans
Ben Cairns
Allister Hogg
Mike Blair
James Hamilton
Geoff Cross
Alastair Kellock
John Barclay
Graeme Morrison
Nikki Walker
Rory Lamont

Out of these 15 probably only 3 or 4 will get picked...?

Phil Godman  I'd hope we'd better at 10 than that to be honest. Not been very impressed by Graeme Morrison when I've seen him either. Most of the others stand a decent chance I guess. Depends how Scotland are going really.

I think those are the only ones that will have a chance from that list... Some players like Cross I just think are ever gonna be good enough for the Lions. Others like Hogg I think would have been on this tour if they were to go any tour.

Ruaridh Jackson I think is a good contender ahead of Godman.

I see Leigh Halfpenny making the squad for the next 12 years. :p

Though much can really be said now, as for all we know I'll suddenly become a profesional and be in the test squad...

I agree about Jackson. Mike Blair was shortlisted for the IRB Player Award last year, he's a class act going through a dip in form. I see no reason he can't be there next time. Murray is awesome on form. He dewstroyed the Beast and the best that NZ could muster in the autumn. It's only opinion, but I think he's the best scrummager in world rugby at the moment. Given that he was the only Scot to appear in a test this time around, and also given that he heasn't been hooking all that long, I could envisage Ford going for the trip. The Evans brothers are as fast as anything I've seen in a long while. Max has a devastating sidestep too. I'm not so sure about Hamilton, although he does have a certain presence, mostly derived from his size. I'm also not convinced that Cairns has what it takes. Both the Lamont brothers are capable of lighting up a test match, Rory being, I think, the better bet, particularly at full back. Nikki Walker is big, I'll grant you, but whether he could keep the likes of Fitzgerald, Monye or Shane out is doubtful. Croos shows potential and the rest may prove good enough with time. Let's not discount Chris Cusiter either.........

Matt Stevens anyone??[/b]

That twat would only suffer white line fever all tour.
[/b][/quote]

something tells me Stevens may have been the scapegoat for a wider 'party' scene at Bath. Lipman/ Crockett/ Higgins/ Harrison is all very suspicious.

Says to me the problems were more set in when that came out. From what Daniel Browne was allegedly up to before he joined them, I wonder if they've rooted the problem out completely.
