<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Intercept King JdV @ Jul 4 2009, 10:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div>
My calculator on the other hand tells me that we (Springboks) won this series that consists out of 3 tests, 2-1.[/b]

You needed a calculater for that one .

Lions Intercept tries 1 : 0 South Africa.

You may call me Intercept Observation King Monkeypigeon.

P.s Is anyone else from the NH feeling a sort of official end of season giddyness...

Guys to be honest I think you are extrapolating with numbers and not wins ;)

if you say Lions scored more points so you are on the right way I think ;)

What I think is there's no reason why everyone can't be a winner? EH? Eh??? Except Russia of course. Booo BOOOO.

It'd be interesting for someone to add up the tally of posts which initiate angry discussions. I'm sure the British & Irish Lions fans would win that one in a landslide too.

Ah this was a thread of humerous content from the beginning,

Like O'Connell said in the post match interview "it's the winners who gain respect and it was South Africa who won the series 2 - 1". Whatever we say we all know South Africa won the test series and anything else is a bit of a laugh.

Anyway, have a look around, have the angry discussions we start are amongst ourselves...Jeez, Imagine the chaos of a joint tri-nations team. we'd all be ducking for cover when that gets heated.

My post was a joke too, as in no-one's planning to go counting those things up. The joke was that the Lions fans could also win something. A win-win situation really. :)

A joint tri-Nations team would at the moment about 6 South Africans, 4 New Zealanders and 5 Aussies, with 2 NZ'ers, 2 Aussies and 3 South Africans on the bench.

4 All Blacks?

Mils and a loosehead, with Smit captain is all you would get!

:p

4 NZs and no more?

I think Mils, Carter, McCaw and Williams, with Woodcock and Hore on the bench.

Yeah, jeez, bit of a shortage of quality specialist full backs over there alright. we've seen how confused South Africa are about fullback...though Steyn could be quality if he'd get his decision making right.

Australia don't seem sure at all about who should be at 15 and outside of Mils who'll prbably start losing a bit of pace in the next two years who's coming through? Not crazy about Cory Jane. Hmmmm....Well I suppose of you're basing it on the standards of a super hero/messiah it's unfair....with Super Rob 'Jesus' Kearney.

Giteau > Carter
Brussouw > McCaw
Williams = Ali? if So then Horwill, Botha and Matfield > Williams

Nah, I really have no idea but Carter, McCaw and Ali haven't played much rugby lately.

Australia could well win the 3N, but Giteau and Barnes seem to be crucial to everything they do, what happens if one of them gets injured? Cooper? <_<

Brussouw > McCaw? are you kidding? He has the disapline of a roid rage chimp...
I would rate Ali over Horwill definetly and maybe Botha.

I also believe Ma'a Nonu would have to be thrown in to that team and Woodcock, So'oialo, Conrad (maybe, not a star but does everything right) And Rokocoko (if he found form). Not all listed would nessacerly start however there would definetly be room for them on the bench.

Australia winning Tri Nation? Always possible, but I do rate them the under dogs, due to SA recent form and NZ record + Getting McCaw and So'olialo back. Giteau has been brilliant latley I must admit.

I was just trying to wind CA up man, I only see a bit of SH rugby, definitely not enough to make any judgement on Australian/Kiwi players.
