Your Lions Squad Following the 6N

Chris R. Shaw is my fave :D

Ah, he is your favorite player? I guess he may be one of my best guys in the squad! I hear of another player, Simon Shaw. This guy is his brother or something? I know other people in rugby have brothers, like the Young guys for England.

Thingimubob, I first shall thank you for all of this information you have given to me. I will learn so much from this writing :D

I saw the guy Healy, but I watch a game where he gets a yellow card for something (I have no idea what he did though haha). Does the yellow mean he will not have a chance at the lions?

And with Vickery, very sorry and sad when I heard he can not play anymore :( What a good number 2. Did NOT know he can play for 3 as well!! Great skill for him.

Ah, it is CHRIS Rob Shaw? Has he had a middle name of rob before? Sorry I have never been a good one with all these names haha.

Hmmm, yes Mike Phillips was another guy on my mind. I just thought he has not played enough game for his country right now. Perhaps Murrey is taller than him. I need a tall guy in this position for me. Anyone to short will not do.

But Ashton has everyone attention from over the world. Some great trys for that guy, a large inspiration. I will still pick him.

But I thank you Thingimubob for everything. A good reply to me!

A yellow card just means 10 minutes off the field, so doesn't jeopardise his Lions place at all! Only thing that would do that is if he does some sort of violent foul play in the next few months that gets him banned for a long period of time. Same goes for every player

Don;t think Vickery ever played number.2 in his career :p Steve Thompson was the 2003 World Cup hooker, with Vickery alongside him at no.3

Robshaw (one word) is his surname and Chris is his first name :)

Phillips played every game in this years 6 Nations, and has 77 caps for his country, compared to 19 caps that Murray has. Also Phillips edges him in height by 3cm (191cm to 188cm). Why will a shorter player not do? The more traditional view on a no.9 is a smaller, quick player, though it's not something that's necessary, as Phillips and Murray prove.

Ashton has been having the wrong attention from teh world recently with his 6 nations performance, but that's fair enough if you want to pick him, he's been a lethal finisher in the past, maybe he can re discover it. My personal choice would be George North and (a hopefully fit) Tommy Bowe. I recommend you check some of their tries out on YouTube, great stuff to watch, especially if you like watching Ashtons ones.

Always happy to help ;)

Wouldn't count Shane in this seeing as too all intents and purposes he's retired and unavailable. He has been playing 2nd division rugby in Japan of course, but wouldn't say he's 'out of favour' internationally, just unavailable. Maybe James Simpson Daniel instead? Or Rory Lamont/Nikki Walker?

Joe Ansbro shouldnt count either, currently recovering from a broken neck he suffered in a pre-season friendly, so don't see him as 'out of favour'. Maybe put Banahan (he's crap though) or even the great man himself, Gavin Henson ;)

Fitzgerald to wing in place of Williams, Hook and Henson at 13 and 12, Cips to 10 MAD FLAIR!

Looks awfully like my Lions in France XV (which I cannot find in this absolue monster of a thread <_<)

I'd shove in Wilko, Monye and Henson over plenty of the guys up there though.
