TRF EA Rugby '06 NZ Tournament

Of course your rated No:1, your hanging out with people who know how to do stuff that sounds unbelievable!

I mean seriously. How can someone get their player to look over their shoulder? What control would you possibly use for something like that?

Shane Williams irresistable move? You've got to be making that up. What the hell is that!!!???

The spin move is something I thought I understood, but I'm not sure now. Does the player spin like the wingers used to in WCR Rugby or what?

If you even know how to do half that stuff, you'll be miles in front of everyone else.

Of course, if it is all for real. :p I would've thought someone would have posted some footage of these secret moves if there's so many of them.

Also, if it's all for real, you better hope knowing all this stuff helps you win. It sounds like you'd spend too much time trying to do things like decelerating your player to actually tactically outwit your opponent.

I hope.

Yep....it is all real....and I will pull it out when we play.

Remember the tips thread before we decided to stop sharing in prep for this comp..........well the stuff that was on it that I posted was the common knowledge stuff we do at our comps......I had yet to share any of the advanced stuff my trainer does because I had not mastered it.

The spin move of WCR.......surely most people that have played R2006 would have done it by fluke. You guys may have already done it and probably did what we have done and said "What the hell was that?"......then did the replay and watch it over and over again. Well there are two types of spin.

Regarding the irresistable move?......yep....my punk mate trainer when he pulls this one out NO TACKLE can work! We have done replay after replay watching what happened and you can see the smother or dive tackle MAKING full contact....yet no tackle. There is more to this but I will keep it secret....you guys have probably seen it and thought it was a glitch in the matrix......like deja vous.....yep...that is exactly what it is......it is a glitch in the matrix...and like Neo who saw the cat and wondered "Hey...did you guys see that?".....yep....when you did the irresistable move by accident you probably went....."Hey...what happened"...If it is any consolation I have yet to master it.

..but the most deadliest move my trainer has done is the "Body Iron".....when his player's body turns into Iron and you are wasting your time tackling. This can be prevented from happening but if it does conjur itself then it needs multiple tacklers to stop him. One on one is a non event. You have probably done this by accident too and went....."wow."

Interesting, I must play boring rugby, as haven't seen anything at all like what you've described, mind you can't do the stutter step or anything yet either. Looks like watching you play will be an event in itself :)

Right, I finally get you, ha ha. I really fell for it hook, line & sinker.

I thought there really might have been a few glitches in the game to be exploited, but yeah, I should've known there was never likely to be that many.

Still I think your going to be a tough player to contend with.

Body of Iron!

That really did tip it over the edge of believability.

Yeah true true

I tend to watch too many Kung Fu movies!!!

I was looking forward to seeing all these flash moves from you GG, so now i find out its not all true??????? saddened.....

Well, I get the impression that the spin one might be somewhat true, as I have found a way to make your player stop suddenly and then very quickly throw him back into full motion. It sort of looks like a spin.

It doesn't seem to help much yet, but I'm working on it occasionally. I never remember to do it in my games against dobrien7.

I'll have to make a bigger effort to see if I can use it properly.

As for the rest, I think he was just trash talking us, like Ali used to do before a big fight. ............... :%#%#: <Thats him right there!

I hav a spin tactic, on both offense and defence. Itts not an on the spot spin, more like a circle tactic.

Dam! I wish I was in NZ so I could play you guys... I really hope the next game is made online aye, cause I just finished winning all the Trophies on elite and now I can't be bothered to play it anymore. In getting my WL elite trophy I had a back 3 of Robinson (15), Caucau and Habana, with Lote and Gear on the bench :D, so I was carving. But dam, how I'de love to have some online games!

You make me sick, Kaftka. :p

Hardly much effort in winning with a near World XV backline.

Shame on you.

I would if I could! :D I absolutely destroy the AI on elite at the moment, so I'd love some human competition.

DAM! That's pretty hot! I've got Umaga pair with Rogers and Larkham and Gregan as the halves.

lol. Yeah, the AI is pretty **** isn't it... I played the Lions recently and made sure that their entire backline were star players, bu I still thrashed them 45-12 with the Wallabies

I don't understand it. It doesn't seem to work both ways. I was absolutely killing everybody with that team. (my forwards were Sheridan, Mealamu, Hayman, Jack, Matfield, Burger, McCaw, Smith) Then when I played them, they played like ****. It was just Carters kicking which was my only worry. And O'Driscolls speed when I busted up the middle with King.
