Maybe I'm wrong and he'll regain form, but he has the ropiest basics of any scrum-half I've seen in ages, and his period of form was so long ago and so short that it's fair to suggest that was the blip, not this.

I'd be laughing if it hadn't occurred to me that there's a fair few England hopefuls (Ojo, Joseph, Yarde, Watson) who are going to be stuck outside a O'Leary/Hape axis of can't pass, won't pass in the 9/10/12 combo. Can only get worse by signing Andy Goode really.

I'd just like to point out how well Connacht have done in the transfer market as of late. The additions of Parks, Rees and White all add strength and experience in needed areas. They're not too far away from being a mid table side, so these signings, particularly a moderately competent out half, will do them a world of goo. Now, if they could get their hands on a second row and a hooker they'd be looking the business.

He's looked alright in the few games i've seen him. But it probably doesn't help that he's got a pretty inexperienced back line outside him.

Hmmm maybe his body won't be able to take long season anymore after his injury. I've heard they have excellent conditioning programs in Japan and also the game is based more on pace than on physicality. Plus he will probably be getting a healthy salary .
