Johnnie Beattie contract finishes at the end of the season and seems certain to leave Glasgow, likely to Montpellier it seems

I wonder whether he will ever get back into the Scotland team and resurrect the old three Bees back row, very good player when he's in the mood like he was back in 2010, shame he's been on poor form for the past year

For a backrow he is very quick i just noticed and has a good offload

the Stade Français rumour seems to have been fabricated by a journalist who Chabal had a go at via Twitter, now it's being reported that Lyon will sign him
 
Sale Sharks announcing something in the morning. Presumably either: Cipriani, Stadium or Name Change



Edit: Almost definitely Cipriani being announced (they've changed the official twitter account's picture to a silhouette of a player, and the image is "DC.jpg" and I don't think it's Dan Carter :p ) - Possibly something else as well though.

reports that Stade Francais have signed George Smith until the end of the season, huge signing for them and could help win the Amlin Cup and reach Top 14 playoffs
 
Richie Rees is leaving the Blues. I'd heard rumblings about him being headed to the Dragons a while ago, although I've since heard he's going to be playing in the Premiership next season. Good signing for whoever gets him, anyway, won't be too expensive for a quality scrum-half.

France is his likely destination because he has hinted ... I think over twitter that he is off to France / wants to head there.

Where did you hear this? Because he'd look good in a cherry and white shirt. :D

Plus it looks like we're going to need a replacement for Rory Lawson. <_<
