Transfers rumours

Gaskell and Thomas have both been confirmed as leaving Sale. Nothing firm on where they are going, although its being assumes Gaskell to Wasps, Thomas to Bath as previously rumoured.

Not hugely joyful about signing Gaskell but at the same time, if it's a straight swap for Jackson then I think we will have done well out of it.

Well it showing a lot of investment going in especially when it no given that they'll be promoted this season

There's no shortage of investment there. Peel and Perenise are already going, meant to be in the hunt for Barkley, talk of Lemi and Narraway...

... should Bristol not get promoted this season, it would be a very bad time to be the relegated team.

edit: P.s. Jones is an investment in and of himself, as is Peel. For Bristol's younger players to see how a player of that professionalism and experience conducts himself, to establish first hand what the bench mark they're aiming at is, to learn from that leadership - this could be the best investment Bristol ever make. He's exactly the sort of foreigner English rugby should bringing in.

Lansdowne is minted and determined that they will be a Premiership club again.

And stay one, not YoYo ala London Welsh. Presuming they get promoted Bristol should be just fine as a Premiership side based on their current recruitment alone.

Very impressive signings across the board from Bris.

Now... let's hope Leeds get promoted!

Adam Jones --> Toulon

Hahaha,
Imagine the sigh of relief that packs would give when they see Wilson and Attwood leave the pitch to be replaced by Thomas and Gray.

You'd partner Attwood and Gray innit. First club to get Gray consistently hitting his potential level of performance has a cracker.

You'd need the rest of the pack playing at 114% to make up for the lack of...well, anything, that Gray offers anywhere other than in the centres/on the wing, though.

Bath do have a very good pack, though, so if anyone can afford/cater for that useless sack of spuds in their pack it's them.

Richie Gray is a great example of easy to see blonde player syndrome.

Everyone loves a gazelle... see: Tom Croft.

Apparently he doesn't like it at Castre - no Idea how reliable that is.

I do know that we are looking for a new lock and SH though.
Strong rumours that we tried to sign Genia, but his international career stopped that.
So Bruce is certainly looking for a big name.
