Transfers rumours

Leigh (or should I now say 'le') Halfpenny to Toulon is still a good possibility apparently.

Didn't they recently give Delon a 3 year extension?
Then again God knows they like having 10 internationals per position

James O'Connor --> Premiership club currently Irish are leading the rumors.

Apparently this is happening immediately, in the next week or so.

I would've thought Quins - they'd have more money and need a back with all their centre injuries, and Brown in the England squad.

Excited to see how it turns out, really like O'Connor. Shame we're so set at centre/fullback :p

Doug Wooldridge is apparently going to a club in France near the Swiss border, my guess is the club in Bourg-en-Bresse in D2, he is leaving immediately after the ARC is completed so we'll know the club at that time.

If he's any good it could be Oyonnax who play in the Elite TOP 14

Quins are at the cap though, almost surely, and I believe they've already played their medical joker with Paul Sackey.

He thinks he's moving to London.........

.....turns up in Reading.

Bath? ...would allow for Biggs to be released from his contract early.

Why would you want O'Connor? I wouldn't touch him with a thousand mile bargepole, what with his shaky temperament on the field and rambunctious attitude off of it!

EDIT: *crosses fingers* really, really, really hope that Saracens aren't going to announce Charlie Hodgeson's imminent departure due to old age/injury and OH HAY GUYZ WE BOUGHT SOME RANDOM GUY FROM AUSTRALIA!

Seriously?! You're mad.
JOC's off field stuff has been over exaggerated to the point of absurdity. People are making out like he'll join a side and cause chaos, turning everyone into coke heads and criminals. Just needs a bit of time away from the Aussie limelight to get his head straight.
He's a world class talent - just don't play him at 10, internationally, when he's clearly not an international 10, and you're sorted.

Ah, didn't know you could only have one joker.

I don't get it... the same team that in the last 3(?) years hasn't been able to keep hold of:

Kennedy, Corbisiero, S.Armitage, D. Armitage, Garvey, Sisi, Joseph, Bowden, Thompstone, Gibson, Shingler, Watson, Murphy, Lamb, Stowers, Gray, Yanuyanutawa... (some are even academy players!)

... can suddenly afford/desire to have JO'C?

Makes absolutely no sense to me.

That, or according to some, greatly under-reported, largely due to JOC being clever enough to leave situations before they become eruptions of excrement. If some press reports are to believed, he's poison. To me, the lack of desire to keep him in Australia is very telling.

And I thought it was only one joker. Might be two I guess.

Dean Ryan get your finger out your Arse and sign the contract quickly before relegation becomes almost certain

from what I've read it seems as if he'll be in europe for a short term contract and then for the beginning of next super rugby season he'll end up with the force. While it also seems that of the "three amigos" (cooper, JOC, Beal) he's the "mastermind" I don;t think he has the ability to destroy a team by himself and this period of uncertainty in his career could do some good for him.

Manuel Carizza from RM92 to WP/Stormers. Any good? He will be partnering Eben Etzebeth and will have to fill big shoes. Now I have a mental picture of Andries Bekker walking around the streets of Japan...

Good to see some Argentine players moving their game and Carizza will feel very welcome here.

Quins are anticipating Lowe to be ruled out for the rest of the season (announcement coming in the next few days, after seeing a specialist) - so will be interesting to see if they can get another out-of-the-cap-injury player in in the form of James O'Connor, as they're very light at centre.

That's a huge shame - at his best he's some player, possibly even England standard, but the injuries won't stop coming. Tbh - for all he'd be rather small for it - I kinda hope they don't get another player and end up playing Charlie Walker instead.

.

Can only do him good.....he played about 90 games with Biarritz over seven seasons without really making it. He started in about half of those games and was a sub for the others.

I do not think he let us down but not sure he could be classed as a stand out player during this time but he is only 28 and that is not a real age for a second rower and not doubt he will give you something!

Donnacha Ryan is apparently being eyed up by "two French and two English clubs".
