Transfers rumours

Donnacha Ryan is apparently being eyed up by "two French and two English clubs".

Out of all the players linked to go abroad at the moment he'd be the silliest to do so. Unlike the likes of Heaslip and Murray, Ryan is far from a guarenteed started for Ireland. He knows POC will always play if fit, Tuohy and Toner are playing very well at the moment and McCarthy has proven himself for Ireland. He is however nailed on for Munster. He should stay to keep himself firmly in contention.

Quins are anticipating Lowe to be ruled out for the rest of the season (announcement coming in the next few days, after seeing a specialist) - so will be interesting to see if they can get another out-of-the-cap-injury player in in the form of James O'Connor, as they're very light at centre.
They got Tim Molenaar instead.

This deal suits Glos and Quins tbh. Quins get in a centre that Glos aren't using, Glos free up a little space to sign a tighthead for the rest of the season. Everyone's a winner. You'd think that with Olly Morgan retiring too, that Glos might be able to sign a pretty decent one. We'll see soon enough. Molenaar also gets more game time.

Quins needed Molenaar than they needed JOC. They needed a guy to provide some power and run the lines the rest of Quins' backline can't. Theyv'e got their man there. As for Glaws, no big deal to them, and frees up cap. As m'learned colleague says, it suits everyone.

Rumour has it that Glos are to sign a prop sometime soon. The name floating around at the minute is CJ van der Linde (Irish are after him too apparently).

Quite pleased with Molenaar signing, could have done worse in terms of an injury joker centre.

Cory Hill (Second Row, former Wales U20 captain) Moseley RFC -> Newport Gwent Dragons

True enough but maybe he's not thinking about Ireland. Was apparently at the Perpignan game over the weekend and Clermont are the other French team interested.

Wouldn't really make sense - if they were losing Joubert then they've got Vunipola, but then he's in the EPS so will be away for internationals, much like Denton is.

Why would Sarries want Denton? Who are they losing?

The other salary cap cheats.

Haha, remember when Denton was the shoo-in Lions number 8 in 2012? ;)

He was the Scottish (or Zimbabwean) Andy Powell. For Powell's one decent game that got him rated vs South Africa in 2008, read England 2012 for Denton. The rest was just full of running sideways and **** sloppy passes. Scotland preferred Ryan Wilson to him last June.

Meh, hindsight's a *****. Denton, in his breakthrough season, was head and shoulders above every other British 8 including Teflon Faletau - you can't predict a monumental drop in form and skill from then onwards :p

I think duck is talking about the Tigers (cuz he called them the cheats when Matera signed).

TTTE is rumoured to be leaving at the end of the season, so that would be a pretty direct replacement.
