Can I request for those that are coming by train to purchase your rail tickets to Parson Street train station, whether you use the ticket to or from Parson Street. Its the same price

This will push up the footfall at Parson Street, hoping that we can get Ashton Gate train station become a reality,or a step free access at Parson Street.

Can as many you as possible post this info on other rugby forums/message boards.

Thank you

Good intentions but new small railway stations cost between £50 plus million in capital costs before you look at all the extra disruptive closures etc. unless the council are part funding it footfall can't make too much difference.

I'd suggest speaking to the local councillors etc. to get discussions going with network rail.

I know what you saying but please don't knock the attempts by the friends of Parson Street to do something.

4,000 journeys were made in 2002/03
and in year 2022/2023 157,000 were made
That's taken 20 years to get to those numbers
lets all keep trying and can you please place the info on other rugby sites you think suitable.

Not trying to knock the attempt, trying to push you in the right way to get what you want.

I've worked on this exact situation elsewhere and it only moves when councils etc get involved. So if you want change that would be my advice, get lobbying is what I'd do.
