Transfers rumours

Curiously though, all the best four sixes in Europe are all currently injured. Dusautoir, Ferris, Lydiate, O'Brien are all out of the November tests. You could add Croft to that list if he's still good enough to be alongside that calibre of player.

Suppose you could add Ryan Jones to that list as well, out of the first game at least.

Few days old but: "According to The Rugby Paper, Racing Metro are keen on recruiting both Northampton's Soane Tonga'uiha and Leicester's Martin Castrogiovanni ahead of next season. The duo's contracts are both up at the end of the current campaign and with the Parisian giants already linked with Dan Lydiate, they seem to be keen on bolstering their front-row."

Not sure how their links with Lydiate has anything to do with their front row, silly ESPN.

If they can sign Roberts, Lydiate, Tonga'uiha and Castrogiovanni, that'd be quite scary.

I can imagine Tiny and Castro sipping a port pre match instead of the warm up.

Is there anyone Racing aren't chasing these days?

Lydiate and Biggar continue to be linked with moves to France, from this at least it appears Racing Metro might want them both: http://www.planetrugby.com/story/0,25883,9818_8245584,00.html

"Wales star Dan Lydiate and Ospreys fly-half Dan Biggar have both been linked with moves to France according to reports in Wales.

Lydiate, who was named Player of the Championship after the Six Nations this year, is currently sidelined due to an ankle injury but is a target for Racing Métro according to WalesOnline.

Racing owner Jacky Lorenzetti has reportedly offered Lydiate £50,000 to sign a pre-contract agreement with the club.

The Parisian side have also been linked with Cardiff Blues centre Jamie Roberts, who announced last week that he would be leaving Wales at the end of this season to join a club in the Top 14.

Biggar is the target of several clubs in the Top 14 after his impressive form early on this season for the Ospreys. The fly-half is believed to have rejected an offer from Racing last season but may find it harder to say no a second time round.

Biggar was not included in the squad for the tour of Australia back in June, but may get a rare chance to impress for Wales against Samoa on Friday."

Will Lydiate want to leave his farm though?
Sounds daft, but a serious question - From what I've heard/read he spends all his time that isn't training/playing rugby working on his family farm.
Eifion Lewis-Roberts was the same, big into his farming and that was part of the reason he moved back to Sale.

new john hayes?

If Biggar leaves, the Ospreys are going to look like idiots.
Granted, rumours that USAP want to cut their wages and release Hook sooooo...

Biggar apparently turned a deal down last summer. Would a move to France do what Clermont did to Stephen Jones and make him a better player?

Yes, with Racing Metro I hear, so I can't see him going to Hautes-de-Seine now.
Clermont could do with another outside half...

Talk coming through that Cronin is not the happiest at Leinster .. Links with Grenoble , good Irish presence out there already
