Transfers rumours

Day on the move?
Any idea why? Seems to be enjoying his rugby, and is getting a lot of first team rugby for a top side.
Unless he's decided (/realised) he's not on the England radar so fancies a move abroad?

Has Mallinder passed the donations bucket around to get Ford over yet?

Probably ends up replacing the pack with cooper.

is anyone at sale worth poaching? Looks like it'll be a nigh on completely new XV next season.

Erm, Cip-... Nah.

By Cooper, I hope you mean the low budget Spencer, what memories for the Saints!

Funny you say that, Coopers available.

The Blues could have traded you Ceri Sweeney for a prop, but that must now wait, sorry Mite.

Morne Steyn may be going to Stade Francais: http://blogs.espnscrum.com/Rumour-Mill/

"Reports on French website Le Rugby Nistere claim that Morne Steyn is in Stade Francais' sights. Steyn apparently met with the Top 14 club's management in the run up to the Springboks Test with England on Saturday and with him out of favour with South Africa, he could be tempted to leave the southern hemisphere in favour of a switch to France."

You've not been watching him recently?

you've not been watching Taulafo and Payne recently....?

But no I haven't - not playing well? I did wonder to be honest why he'd fallen from 3rd 4th choice for Lancaster in South Africa to seemingly 6th or 7th now... But yeah, don't underestimate how weak wasps are in the propping department :p

He was pretty good last season, but this year he's become a walking penalty. Only Van Velze being utterly anonymous has saved him from ridicule.

I've noticed Van Velze. He picks up a card every week or so, hard not to see him.

Those aren't yellows. We ask the ref to signal his location to us every 100 minutes or so just to remember he's at the club. We then invite him into the stands (for 10 minutes or so) for a slice of celebratory cake.

Fack knows what else he does.

It's pretty bad management that the Saints are in a position where all 5 of their first team props are out of contract in the same season. Only so many props go out of contract each summer and replacing these players will be difficult if a good number decide to move on.

Even worse is the news for the not nots that Corbs may be moving on. If true (dubious since you can't make approaches until jan...), it might kickstart an exodus from the not nots. Joseph, Garvey, Corbs, Gibson, Gray, Shingler and Watson are out of contract...

You can't spend over the salary cap either... ahem.
Who mentioned Leicester and Sarries?

Shingler back to Wales would be excellent. I wanted him at the Blues two years ago, but they have Patchell now.
Turks have Aled Thomas for backup, as well as Jordan Williams and Owen Williams coming through. We have Steffan Jones and to a lesser extent, Lewis Robling, while Daniel Evans has been decent at outside half.
If Biggar goes, he would be a great signing for the Ospreys. If Beck fancies a go at outside centre it could work as well. I like Shingler, good pass on him.
