Rugby Championship: New Zealand - Argentina (08/09/2012)

Henry seems to have taken more than a advisory role it seems like he has become very hands on and the Argentine players and coaches have taken him in.

I don't have any problems with that, it would be different if he were coaching Australia, South Africa, France or England - the traditional Rivals.

Adds some extra spice to the Argentina - Australia clashes though. Henry vs. Deans all over again! lol

Deans should be worried, Henry has had the better of him tactically over the years. Seeing that happen again would surely be the last nail in the coffin for deans.

Miles Davis started ripping into Ted about going to work for another country. I had to point out that i think it's slightly different he chose to leave after doing everything he wanted to with the ab's to help a team in a new competition as opposed to throwing his toys and going to work for the auld enemy after missing out on the job he really wanted like Deans did…I have no problem and wish him luck, hopefully he'll help them

Just found this after watching it years ago. Quite funny, especially when the 'respectable' looking woman calls his a solo pleasurer...

N.B. Never diss McCaw in Christchurch...

Wynne Gray (one of the better rugby writers in the country) seems to think that Julian Savea is in line to start on the left wing in place of Gear. If he does get a start it will be interesting to see how he goes under the high ball, as I'm sure he will be forced to catch a few, and it is an area that I'm not yet convinced he has mastered (though he has made massive improvements since last season).

Agree with both of you guys.

It'll be interesting to see how theArgentine backline looks against the ABs (in terms of trying less vanilla stuff out).

Very funny, but on a sad note, this was filmed in Chch so a lot of what you see here is gone, including Drakie at the end there... R.I.P.

We shouldn't forget that we won a Rugby League World Cup with advice from a former Australian coach.

A bit off topic: the site allblacks.com used some kind of automatic translator for the name of the Pumas, getting some pretty ridiculous stuff:

Club Atlético San Isidro (CASI) got transtaled as "almost", and Julio Farías Cabello was translated as Julio Hair Farias]
Hahahja this is hilarious!! could be worst "july hair farias"

I agree that it pretty sad, I don't mind people getting a bit of verbal flak but when it turns physical it shows the worst side of the country.

Perfect.

Just the right amount of tinkering I would say. Nothing too dramatic. Still would have preferred to see Cane over Vito, and to have Messam start.

well i get that in SA by just wearing my All Black jersey... imagine if i had some sort of sign lol

Here you go Iceman. Try wearing this next time you're at Loftus

Annoyed at Cruden not getting a start if they are making a few changes. Especially since he wasn't allowed to play for Manawatu last week. So now that will be 5 weeks since he has had meaningful game time after being red hot all season.. awesome work Hansen.

a case of the wellington boys getting a run, seems popular for local All Blacks to get a run when the team plays on their home ground.

Wonder if Ben Smith/Thomson/Ellison will get a start next weekend. More likely a top team will be selected with it being a springbok test. If the All Blacks win this weekend then the next game against the springboks could be enough to secure the championship?

A few interesting changes. The return of Woodcock and Conrad Smith was always going to happen, and it was hinted yesterday that Savea would start on the left wing, but the inclusion of Retallick and Vito are slight surprises for me (though I'm happy with the inclusion of both). Vito needs a big game at 6, as Messam has played well in his chances so far this season. I'm not actually surprised to see Retallick in the starting lineup, but rather who he is paired with. It is great to see Retallick get a start at LH lock, which is the position that she is more suited to at this stage of his career. Romano needs to a big game too, as he was a bit disappointing in his last match - I would be much happier if he just ran the ball straight and hard rather than doing little pop passes whenever he got the ball!
