New Zealand vs France, 2nd Test

I think we should bounce back very nicely. It is rare enough for us to lose against NH teams at home so I really just can't see it happening twice in a row. We will certainly be ready for a big game and I'm sure we will play a lot better. I think that France have probably played their big game and won't worry us too much. Then again I was expecting to win to last week.

The teams are:

New Zealand - 15-Mils Muliaina (capt) (69), 14-Cory Jane (3), 13-Conrad Smith (23), 12-Ma'a Nonu (33), 11-Joe Rokocoko (53), 10-Stephen Donald (9), 9-Jimmy Cowan (21); 8-Kieran Read (3), 7-Tanerau Latimer (debut), 6-Jerome Kaino (16), 5-Isaac Ross (1), 4-Brad Thorn (25), 3-Neemia Tialata (32), 2-Keven Mealamu (66), 1-Tony Woodcock (50).
Reserves: 16-Aled de Malmanche, 17-John Afoa, 18-Bryn Evans, 19-George Whitelock, 20-Piri Weepu, 21-Luke McAlister, 22-Isaia Toeava

France - 15-Maxime Medard, 14-Vincent Clerc, 13-Maxime Mermoz, 12-Damien Traille, 11-Cedric Heymans, 10-Francois Trinh-Duc, 9-Julien Dupuy; 8-Louis Picamoles, 7-Fulgence Ouedraogo, 6-Thierry Dusautoir (captain), 5-Romain Millo-Chluski, 4-Sebastien Chabal, 3-Nicolas Mas, 2-William Servat, 1-Fabien Barcella.
Reserves: 16-Dimitri Szarzewski, 17-Thomas Domingo, 18-Remy Martin, 19-Damien Chouly, 20-Dimitri Yachvili, 21-Yannick Jauzion, 22-Mathieu Bastareaud.

Should me interesting. The All Blacks have still got most of the same problems however at least with Conrad coming back we should have a more stable mid-field. I think the All Blacks will bounce back but I wouldn't put money on it at the moment.

Wooh... Going to this match. Going to be good. The All Blacks are going to come out on top. Will be close right to the last 10 minutes when the All Blacks will score two quick tries, one to Latimer and the second to Jane for a generous scoreline of 33 - 16. That scoreline won't be reflective of the game though, France will have a 57-43 split of possession and a 59-41 share of territory but the deciding factor will be turnovers where the All Blacks will tonight completely turn around the amount of times they turned the ball over to the French to throw their possession away to the opposition to take and turn the ball into territory....

Anyway, I'm not entirely sure why I'm going to the game as I know what is going to happen...Oh, by the way, my post contains spoilers soooo... Don't read it if you don't want to know the result.

16-Aled de Malmanche[/b]
Who the f*** is this ethnic?
[/b][/quote]

He's a neckless beefcake with an upper body the breadth of a small to medium-small country. Unfortunately his arms aren't in proportion to the rest of his upper body which means they are a tad too far apart to be able throw a ball accurately.

had a massive year for the chiefs this year and with conrad smith coming into the game, it should help the all blacks along.

i'm tipping the all blacks to win, stephen donald to play a blinder (so i can stick it up you donald haterz :p )

is that you nostradamus? :)

de Malmanche is a French surname. French immigration must have been very small in NZ though.

Conrad Smith back gives us stability in the centres. Forward look pretty much the same, still the inexperienced back-row (besides Kaino but he's off-form).

Heres a photo of Malmanche's face:

Aled De Malmanche is one funny lookin dude. Gatland was apparently eyeing him up for the Taffs. He qualifies through his grandparents.
Wonder if he'll regret not making a move?

I expect the All Blacks to win purely because Conrad Smith is back in the team. He holds together the backline.

I personally think its not him especially, moreso the partnership that him and Nonu have.

Or perhaps that Toeava wont be there to f*** things up when Nonu makes a break

Jauzion injured, replaced by Fritz. I have no idea how the game will go, if we manage to score first, we will be very hard to play, if the ABs score first god knows what can happen to us. In the last England France match, England scored quicky without us waking up, and then we just lost our rugby and started panicking and you had 15 crazy blue chicken on the field.
Man to watch on the french side : #13 Maxime Mermoz, he had a cracker of a season with Perpignan, where he played 12. I think he was the best centre in top 14 this year. He has mean sidesteps and speed, and he's strong enough to break the line. Good tacker too... Only thing he lacks is a real international experience.

The first 20-30 minutes will be very intense...

But Jauzion is on the bench, so he can't be injured?

Oh wait, I see what you mean.

without heads.

Dusautoir said: "They are going to be very nasty. We shall have to answer too by being even more aggressive".
Hoping that it will be a great fight, agree with the fact that the first part of the battle will be crucial for the final victory. I don't think that we'll see lots of threequarters game at the beginning...

France by 5
Italy by 2
Lions by 5

Great we for NH rugby, just kidding, I really have no clue.

France can lose by 40 or win by 10, France defense is like a dam, can hold the full game, but there is no coming back when it breaks, especially against the ABs

So a lot will depend on the first half an hour, if the score is still level after 30 min, France to take the serie.

I agree in the sense that whenever Nonu plays a game without Smith partnering him in the centres he plays like crap, but when Smith returns so does Nonu's form.
