New Zealand vs France, 2nd Test

Damn right they have tarnished some of our reputation! I'd love to have those guys rounded up, put into a room and allow french people to do as they wish for an hour! That'd fit the crime in my book.

I actually had far more of a problem with the "Hang your head in shame, NZ!" posted up by Teh Mite. Thats really saying as a nation we are all guilty.

I would've loved to catch up with you too elgringoborracho, shown you that there were some other good NZ'ers on top of the ones you met. :)[/b]

 I'll call you next time I come! Yeah Teh Mite is a bit extreme there, I guess he wanted to stir up some reactions from the kiwis. If I were a kiwi I would feel angry towards those morons who tarnish my reputation, and I'd like to pay beers to each and every frenchman I meet in order to prove my point. Speight's of course, the Dunedin beer ;)

lulz, your English... should we bring up the great scrapbook of English Soccer Fans?

Come on Ripper, he's obviously got his head hung in shame all the time over that. Just while his heads hung low in perpetual shame, he uses the time to take advantage of his keyboard, hence the post count.

Ahhh jesus what kinda scrap is this! Get a room ladies

Rumours flying around town and on other forums is that Frenchie tried to cut in line for a taxi in front of a group of guys late at night, who obviously took offence. One story is that the guys he tried to cut in front him told him to get lost and wait his turn, Frenchie then took a swing at one of the guys, which turned into a one on one "fair" scrap. The other version is that both sides got lippie and the whole group attacked him.

Wouldn't surprise me if what really happened was a combonation of the two reports i've heard (Frenchie got in the face of one of the guys, thing's escalted between those two, started off as just the two of them before the guys mates quickly jumped in)

No, the Kiwi Burger isn't what you think it is. It's just a burger full of the things that New Zealanders love the most, I think. There's no actual kiwi bird in it.

The attack on Bastareaud is a disgrace, but to make out like those idiots are a fair representation on the New Zealand or Wellington public is ridiculous. That would be like me saying all Englishmen are football hooligans.[/b]

Ah, but here's the punchline; While 99% of football fans are decent people just out to watch the game, that 1% who cause trouble make the whole fraternity be branded. Personally I find the football fans attitude embarrassing (e.g. Songs like "10 german bombers"). I'm pleased that I can disassociate myself from it all.

Unless it's nipped in the bud, the same thing WILL happen to Kiwi rugby fans. After this alleged incident, the bottle throwing and the stories post-RWC 2007, the international media is already on a which hunt.

Once again Stephen Donald played absolute crap, I'm getting so sick of him and his rubbish kicking game. We're going to the trinations with the worst fly half by far. South Africa have atleast 2 better than Donald. I think maybe its time to give Weepu a shot in the 10 jersey, he's been great off the bench in both the games against the French. Give him the Italian game in the 10 see how he goes, I don't think McAlister is our answer.

Weird. According to the newspapers, the fight actually took place at 3:00 AM, near the hotel where the French team was staying, and just when Bastareaud and Jo Maso were getting out of a taxi.

Guess we will never find out anyway...
