Loved the backs, so glad to see Cubelli, De La Fuente and Montero from the start. I have second thoughts regarding Lavanini and Herrera, they get carded all the time. I honestly believe that height and weight is all Lavanini has.

Without a second row for replacement again.

Yes, really good to see De la Fuente as 12.
However, in the long term, we need to find more options in the centers (I really don't know how good is Orlando as 12), with Hernandez going out every 2 matches.

8 Louis Picamoles,
9 Baptiste Serin,
10 François Trinh-Duc,
11 Djibril Camara,
12 Rémi Lamerat,
13 Gaël Fickou,
14 Xavier Mignot,
15 Maxime Médard

Replacements: 16 Clément Maynadier, 17 Lucas Pointud, 18 Rabah Slimani, 19 Paul Jedrasiak, 20 Kélian Galletier, 21 Sébastien Bézy, 22 Jules Plisson, 23 Julien Rey

This 2nd test should be all meat and drink to Argentina.

The French team's selection looks better on paper from the 1st test i.e. they're looking marginally less like a bunch of tourists - but on paper only. On the pitch there's no cohesion. Everyone is throwing in their little cameo to impress the selector in the hope of notching more caps.

Test caps have become an important bargaining tool for French internationals when discussing a new contract with their club...Let's not fool ourselves.

There's a distinct lack of leadership in the group. This was striking during the 6N with not one senior player willing to stick their neck out for Guirado. But this is not surprising with players focusing on their club career. They want the caps to tell their grand kids but they don't want the added responsibility that come with captaincy or leadership.

Yohann Maestri doesn't strike me as a captain even for one game. He was poor during the 6N and didn't show leadership quality. Also he's carrying far too many knocks. In a recent interview he said he played the last league game v Racing under injection due to an injury. He shouldn't even be touring.

The blue train wreck is gathering speed and no moss...

France could easily have had that first test bar some diabolical defending. They seemed to be trying pretty hard too, so I don't think their morale is as awful as it has been at some points. I think France will sneak this by a score now they've got rid of Plisson who had a terrible game and hasn't shown me anything in a French shirt.

I really hope France bring their A game to this match. Would love a good win.
Viva le Blues.

And we are off.
Where are the French supporters on the site ?

Think that sodden conditions will help France with their big old pack and cut out the exciting Argentine backs. Think France could win this by 10.

TRY FRANCE !!!

Very nice try. All made by Serin. Nice rounding off by the winger.
10 point half-time lead very nice.

Another try. Lamerat.

20-0. Loving this. Not the most spectacular game, but nonetheless France are leading comfortably.

Yikes! And another try. Argentina offering very little here. The warning signs were there in the first test (and against Italy) - their forwards seem quite limited and their set piece isn't great. No question France are much improved on previous performances though. Almost unrecognisable from the shambles at the 6N.

EDIT: Try chalked off. Funny hearing Creevy complaining in Super Rugby they'd had two red cards for the same offence.

I'm fed up with Lavanini, he's a good player but he just can't behave properly. He needs a time off from both Pumas and Jaguares to think what he's doing.

HAHAHA what a disgrace. I hope a ban hammer falls on some players/coaches. This is the same issues Jags have. Clearly there we have to make the correct changes in order to have good Pumas performances.
