This'll be a good one. This match is on June 4th in Thomond Park, kick-off 7.45pm. It's basically just a warm up match before Ireland go on tour to Australia and New Zealand. It seems Jean DeVilliers, Paul Warwick, Doug Howlett and Alan Quinlan are all set to play for the Baa Baas, with Cipriani, Jerry Collins and Carl Hayman also likely to be on the team. O'Connell, Earls and Flannery seem almost definit starters for Ireland (fitness permitting) if the advertising campaign is anything to go by.
This should be a good laugh. Definitely gonna try to get a ticket for it. I get the vibe that it's more of a friendly end of season game for the Munster lads more than anything else. Would be good fun to go down to it on the lash.

Looking forward to seeing Quinny go up against Ferris or McLaughlin. He'll be seriously up for showing what he's worth.

Plenty of battles although I'd have fear Kidney won't select strongest side.
I do expect Baa-Baa's to be really strong and well it seems they picking physical pack with style behind pack

i think it would be best to mix things up in thins game a young team would be best. it's too far away to think about teams yet but like a buch of the young guys.

Can't wait for this. Hopefully the BaaBaas start Quinlan at 6. After all these years minding ROG, I'm ready to see Quinnie torment the **** out of him haha :L

Will be interesting

Guess Ireland will dominee the match

Lads let's not forget Ireland are training hard on the pitch where the Baa Baas are in the Sin Bin practising ha.
But I doubt Quinny would hurt RoG ad 2 are super mates

Quinlan will really want to make Kidney regret not picking him. If we go by how the Babarians played against England the Irish will have to take advantages of the first 30 mins and then just try and keep the score board moving. This should be a great test for Ireland as the Baa Baas will want to play lots of flowing rugby.
my squad:
1) Tom Court
2) Jerry Flannery
3) Tony Buckley
4) Donncha O'callaghan
5) Dan Touhy
6) John Muldoon
7) David Wallace
8) Chris Henry
9) Tomas O'leary
10) Ronan O'gara
11) Andrew Trimble
12) Fergus Mcfadden
13) Keith Earls
14) Tommy Bowe
15) Geordan Murphy (c)

16) Cian Healy
17) Sean Cronin
18) Mick O'driscoll
19) Jamie Heaslip
20) Peter Stringer
21) Paddy Wallace
22) Rob kearney/Johnaton Sexton

This sqaud is based on resting some players that have been involved in many games throughout the season. I also want to see some new players (mcfadden, Henry etc) be given a go before we head down under. there are also experienced players (O'gara, Murphy etc) to help compose the young guys. My bench will be used for Impact.

Think RoG will be captain if BOD doesn't play but Hope all our young prospects get a solid shot and performance over result for me

I agree ROG will be captain but sometime a think he isn't always up to the job especially when his to team is on the back foot.

Wait, are you trying to tell me that Ronan O'Gara chokes in high pressure games? No. Surely not. Not O'Gara...

I must have misread your post.

Ha reminds me of New Zealand teams ha ha nick. All going well then at World Cup they choke.
But on Irish captaincy I think Heaslip is the man to lead us for next few years as he has all attributes and personally I think a captain should be from the pack.

Well, if we choke in the quarter finals in RWC 2011, hosted in New Zealand, I predict three things.
a ). There will be riots (for such a relaxed country, that's big).
b ). There will be an increase in suicides
c ). Rugby will no longer be the main sport of NZ (no, I'm not exaggerating. With the limited success NZ has had in Soccer so far, Rugby is already in bad shape and this could be the straw that breaks the camel's back).

Anything short of winning the RWC will be the end of rugby in NZ as we know it. Since 2007 fans have moved away from rugby.

well its a good thing for ireland might eventualybeat ya then!

Out of that lot I'd make Donnacha captain. A good worker around the pitch and a player guarenteed to start the big games. If's he's good enough for Geechs he's good enough for me.

Agree feic that in Donnacha is great leader and has been for years just well he stayed quite as there was enough voices already but I'd rather captaincy stays in pack as well BOD was is a fine captain but I just believe a man in the wars of the scrum should be captain and lead from the front
