Ireland vs Barbarians

I agree, Shaggy is not an option against top opposition annymore as the Clermont game showed. Still a good player and will probably have a good game Friday, but he isn't going to be tested under the highball much against the BaaBaas :p Carr isn't really an option against top opposition either but could be, Shaggy is past it.

No because he's saying we're starting with untested players and players that can offer us something in future but well it simple - That not the case.

But Feicarsinn I agree with you - we could loose although I hope not.

no Feicasinn is right. I was agreeing with you. I said i don't agree with the backline selected because whats the point of going with the tried and tested as that wont help the future of the Irish team.

ie. i'm saying that the backline selected has already been tried and tested, except for Macfadden of course.

sorry if i made it unclear.

and yes i think we will lose :(

sorry for posting 3 times in a row but after looking at that xv again i can only see Kearney, McFadden, Buckley and Cronin as players good enough to make Ireland a force in the world cup and onwards. what's deccie thinking??

He's thinking we need to rest our best players for the games that actually matter, and with the likes of O'Connell, Ferris, Best, Fitzgerald, Leamy, Mclaughlin, Toner, Ryan, Jones injured and Ireland's more talented under 20's playing in the world cup this weekend our quality depth has been seriously diminished.

What really depresses me though is because Buckley's starting tomorrow John Hayes will likely start against the real teams. Although it saddens me to say it he should never start another Ireland match against the top teams again.

Lads reality is Hayes is there to start in World Cup I think.
And I just fear that a loss Friday night could really damage our confidence but I just don't understand as in Shaggy was a great player and I am a massive fan of him but he isn't international class and like he won't improve us in future.
Felix Jones has been with squad training over last week and Carr shouldve been brought too as it's these guys that are our future

Not long to go now, I reckon the BaaBaas will win it.

God bless Sky+, I can now go out and not miss the match :D

Baabaas are bookies favorites to win it, and after last week they'll know what works/know to actually play in the first 50minutes :p
Think they'll win, depending on how well they're defence performs, could be by a fair bit

can I watch this on RTE.IE in Guernsey if not where online can I watch it. (posted this before on wrong thread)

I think Olly wanted to PM you something, but your pms were turned off. It could be completely unrelated but I'd turn them on and pm him if i was you :p

Oh, I didn't realise that J Murphy was on the wing, hope he gets on alright.

Johnny Sexton injired in the warmup. **** THIS TOUR SHITE!

I pray to god all 22 men get through tonight. With 13 injuries, we can't afford even one more.

Is it just me or is the referee really slow at the scrum process? Crouch.......................................Touch..................................................Pause......................Engage? Should it not be Crouch........ Touch....Pause.......Engage?

I criticised Niall Ronan earlier this week. I've egg on my face now because he's been Ireland's best player so far.

Ireland holding their own, thought they'd be getting bullied, but they're doing well

Did they mention whether Sextons injury is a ****le, or tour ending? I'm watching with no sound
