Aviva Premiership - Round 19

Falcons-Bath could be an absolute belter of a game (in the namby-pamby running from everywhere sense rather than the brutal old-school physical battle sense) on that 4G pitch. I hear we're going for a new back row combo, don't know if that's worth discussing at all

Sinoti beat Louw, then Garvey, then Rokoduguni and finally Ford !! Great pace and power

Now that he's missed a game and th erotically has been forced to miss another as he's not playing against Welsh. Do Wasps get any compensation? They've been punished now for doing nothing wrong.

Haven't seen it mentioned but Nathan Hughes red & ban has been overturned.

I posted it in the Round 18 thread.

But Hughes can legitimately be trying to get back in order to force North to either ground the ball or get tackled by him in the dead ball area? That's allowed. Until North is actually tackled, Hughes is doing nothing wrong running that line for me. But that is exactly what they are saying. And if North hadn't been twisted by the tackle of Lozowski, Hughes wouldn't have made any contact running that line anyway.

Hughes cannot be sure that North is going to dive or be successfully tackled by Loz until it's already too late, he slows as soon as North is successfully tackled, what more was he supposed to do, apart from not be running back to cover North whatsoever?

It seems that the Judiciary agrees.

Hughes' appeal has been successful, the red card has been rescinded and the collision with North's head has been ruled an accident

[TEXTAREA]"Jeremy Summers (Chair) said:
"The appeal Panel considered it appropriate to hear the matter afresh. Having done so and having had the advantage of evidence not before the original Panel, it concluded that no act of foul play took place in that the incident occurred occidentally."[/TEXTAREA]

The correct decision IMO. To have considered this anything other than a pure accident was lunacy

Bath seem to go through a phase where they are determined to give away a penalty a minute. I swear they have done this in every game, a complete breakdown in discipline.

Burgess had a decent game all said as did Devoto. Burgess does need to work on his ball protection but he had completed some fantastic work at the breakdown.

He rucked surprisingly well, I thought that might be an area that he would struggle with but he hit a fair few.

Is Hodgson carrying an injury?
Bosch and Goode have been preferred to him as a kicker so far this half.

Pretty nothing game in Sarries-land. Lot of handling errors, wind playing merry hell with the kickers. Sounds like Quins vs Glaws is the better game.

I think Hodgson has had problems with his thigh/groin for around the last 5 or so weeks. Yeah the game has been poor for us, but that wind seems crazy. Coming out 1 point ahead is massive so hopefully we can win this game after Baths bonus point win.

Lol Glos score a try with a 2 man disadvantage. Shocking form Quins. 3 points in it in the last minute. Glos made up loads of ground and then decided to kick the ball away after the clock had gone red...
