Aviva Premiership 15/16 - Round 19

What the hell, that's Ashton's fault as well!
Watson trying to stop but Ashton checking him made him stumble into Goode!

Red card my arse!

Agreed. The whole intent / outcome thing needs looking at.

Nice to see Attwood back and putting in a strong shift. He might be old fashioned, but he makes a difference.

Absolutely - it's farcical that you should be locked in to deciding based on one or the other... interrupts otherwise logical thought processes.

What good is that red card going to do? Cards should be a corrective/dissuasive tool - I don't believe that card will do either.

You can't say on the one hand that players have a responsibility to not put others in danger - and that a player must be making a legitimate attempt to contest the ball in order to satisfy this in the context of jumping in the air; and then on the other hand say that Ashton was running a legitimate blocking line.... because (as this situation explicitly demonstrates) running blocking lines (even legal ones) before a player attempting to contest the ball in the air is potentially dangerous.

Also - the push after the incident was ****ing appalling...

I detest Marler, Hartley and Ashton being in the England setup. They are just cards waiting to happen, how the hell does Ashton get away with the pushing around and dragging players around the floor week after week. Thats why Manu slapped him, thought he may have learned a little from that.

Wow,
Greig Tonks with a conversion right in front and it hits the post and comes right back at him

MRW Glos playing well.

.... Marshall for England 15 anyone?

Shame, we played rather well in the first 15 minutes, before this counter-attack. Betham made a bad match. And the second try of Gloucester, thank you to the defense of Tigers and especially to Scott Hansen for all the work he did for the Tigers this season! What a tragedy ! Honestly, forget the championship and hope to beat the French in ERCC. A training year is a bit much!
I'm just disgusted but still behind the Tigers, come on !

It's almost as if better weather directly leads to better rugby...?

That was terrible from Thompstone, could have jogged over the line.
Can see why Leicester wanted to sign our 4th choice wing.
