Australia vs England (3rd Test) - 16/07/22

Wasps' forum is very positive about him, with a (perhaps overly hopeful) view of him helping to fill Gopperth's boots one day. One to keep an eye on for sure.
Yeah he's a little bit of a fan favourite already. He's a big boy but seems to have some logic in his play and good hands. A lot of us are hoping that will Atkinson and him at 12 for the future, we can have our own Smith and Esthurizen combo (i hope!). Stuck some tries of his below and his mention in the BT Sports players to watch.

Did anyone think anything of th u20s? Seeing as we are looking to the future, did anyone stand out?

I watched that whole prem cup game v tigers he also got ripped to shreds in defence and pretty much was his only involvement in.

IDK I would like to know what Monye is basing it on because 2 prem cup games (1 was in a 50 point drubbing) and no England age grade international to be put up alongside players who are basically premiership regulars is something I don't get.

Ilione only england player to make team of the comp sums it up.

Although willing to put a lot down to poor coaching given Finn Smith looked pretty meh and he performs at prem level already

u20s coaching looks terrible the past couple of seasons - side consistently plays poorly yet the players are still coming through into prem sides and playing well amongst the seniors

Literally pulling names out of his arsehole - got Roebuck at 13 despite never playing there

All fair points. I was literally sharing that Hartley seems to be highly rated by Wasps and has the physical attributes to be worth keeping an eye on in the long term.

Quite a wholesome moment in the lead up to the game, getting one of the Aussies from the 2003 final a new silver medal after they chucked their original in the river. Good to see that, once the emotion of the occasion has passed, he realises his error and is happy to have a replacement.

I read the same quote on RugbyPass I think. It was linked to this ref having a very strict interpretation on tacklers rolling away (which sounds more of a worry than an opportunity for us TBH). He seems to think that favours Care's style of play.

Sounds a bit theoretical TBH. Would much rather have seen JVP given another decent chance.

Fantabulous venue. For cricket.

Aussies going very American with their pre-match nonsense. It's supposed to have kicked off by now...? Have they missed the actual kick off time every game so far?

Was it the Olympic stadium previous tests a la 2016 tour was played. Playing at a cricket ground looking at those pavilions looks mad

Aussie fans: Bring back the ultraviolence
Aussie players: Nasty Englishman tackle me too hard :(
