Australia vs England - 3 Tests - June 2016

Auterac might be injured he wasn't in the bath 23 yesterday.

McIntyre
Hepburn
Bristow
Genge

Are the ones who are younger than Waller, and I can't see it being Bristow who looks promising but hasn't played that much, Genge could certainly have played himself into it Tigers semi final team though and might have a chance.

so looking into it a bit more eddie is saying he wants the Saxons to be 5/6 choices in positions not so much 3/4 choices.

Ben Morgan can't even get in with Beaumont injured and Vunipola not available.

End of Morgan's international career under Jones?

Will say it again Morgan needs to move to a team playing Champions cup rugby to stand a chance of getting back into the england fold.

you think
Vunipola
Hughes
Beaumont
Will all be playing CC rugby next season and Harrison/Clifford are able to provide cover.

By that you mean that Morgan should move to Tigers, don't you? :p

Delighted for Haley.
Shame that Addison isn't there, he's been our best back this season by a long shot, but hopefully he'll make the Saxons tour.

Now that you say that we do seem to be the only team in the top 6 without an out and out 8.

;)
Isn't Crane still under contract for next season?

Yep but judging by some tweetes it seems the Bristol rumour might very well be true.

Calling Crane an 8 is slightly generous tbh.

As for Waller... tbh, I've never thought he looked standout international material, although obviously he's been well up the pecking order. There are some interesting possible choices to fill a fourth (and maybe fifth) loosehead slot from the playoff teams, guys with potentially big futures.

I wouldn't mind a front row of
1) Hepburn, Genge
2) Taylor, Thacker
3) Cooper-wooley, Sinkler

If it really was a development tour.

imagine the power of Sinkler and Genge coming on together in the loose.

I can't believe this thread has gone 23 pages with effectively just you English blokes talking to eachother :p . It's obviously getting plenty of interest in the UK - I'm hoping it gets similar interest out here, but I'm a little worried about whether they'll sell out the Melbourne test given how monumentally tiny Rugby is in that town.

Yep it got so tiresome that I had to chip in with expected Wallaby team to make up for lack of interest from Australian fans.;).

I'd be quite interested experimenting with a lighter pair of centres to see how it goes. Daly and Slade offer so much versatility together and I'd like to see it tried at least once. Doesn't work? Lesson learned. Fill out the pack with better carrying options to make up for the lack of a heavy carrier in the backs and it could be interesting to say the least. then again it could be a complete disaster but I'd still love to see it given a go. 2 good kickers and distributors on great form and with decent speed and footwork.

Add a winger like Yarde, Rokoduguni, Nowell to an extent, and carrying is even less of an obstacle.

Rokoduguni is the only one of those who I think would really counter-balance a lightweight centre pairing.

My opposition to this is well documented but there is potential for a very strong carrying pack these days which helps a little.

Plus, lets be honest, Slade and Daly would work very similarly to Farrell and Joseph... and while I never want to see that centre pairing again, they did win a Grand Slam, so they can't be all bad.

Predictions on who's gonna sign him?

I hope Glos pull him on the account of him being able to continue his studies and that he came through our academy. But Jones clearly wants Underhill as a 7, and Kvesic will get in the way of that happening at Glos. (Although potentially dual opensides at Glos? Would be lovely.)

Leicester or Wasps are my bet.

Or Bath, ideally placed if he is still going to Cardiff Uni and I think Louw is off soon so we will need a new 7.
