A Political Thread pt. 2

I'm by no means sticking up for the Tories but surely that's better than them going to landfill if they're not fit for purpose in hospitals?

I'm guessing they've just got some company in selling off whatever it can in joblots from the hospitals,
I know there's a place near me that sells off old office furniture etc. from Government projects (our village hall used to have a load of spare chairs that were branded with the 2012 Olympics that they'd got on the cheap)

They were fine for hospitals. Not the full kit, but still good and could have been used. Especially as a lot people don't need the full kit once their issue has been diagnosed etc. Even so, £6 is ridiculous.

Not what it says in the article you linked to

"There was a small number of beds that was specifically tailored for the Nightingale that could not be re-purposed and they have been sold to private sellers to recover costs for the taxpayer."

Please don't give that writer attention.

She claims to be independent, but conveniently always supports right wing ideologies. Worked at the institute for economic affairs too:
We have no idea where this money comes from, but we're suppose to believe they're neutral. Nah. They can jog on.

To be fair, she is passing on what the ONS is saying rather than her own analysis. There are still questions to be asked, particularly how everything in the country seems to be literally falling to pieces and underfunded, wages are suppressed etc if the economy was supposedly growing?

Seems like they also threw in NHS data which from the way it read was not included before. Not sure if that's normal or if someone has asked them to include it.

Seems like we have a major problem with school buildings. If hospitals on top this has been decades problem in the making.

On top the cladding issues this is nothing short of scandalous. How could building regulations have allowed this? Lives put at risk for the sake of corner cutting and profiteering. It's something you'd expect to hear happening in a third world country.

Fair enough I suppose. I just don't like how this lot from the clown car that is the IEA keep popping up on BBC shows etc like they should be. In till they say who funds them, they shouldn't be allowed.

As for your question, that's easy. We're not in a cost of living crisis, but a cost of greed crisis. The top are getting richer and everyone below is being told a pack of lies about it. 13 years of stupid politics and policies from the tories have got us this. Osborne's was awful at economics and failed to understand the value of his cuts. As one bbcqt audience member said "you understand the cost of everything, but the value of nothing"

Example: Before the Tories got in, the NHS was one of the best health services in the world. Since they got it, it's gone down the rankings fast. That's on them. No one else.

The questions to be answered were more rhetorical, nearly everyone can see how badly the Tories have ****** up everything they have touched.

There needs to be a proper investigation to see how far back this goes and when people were made aware of the problems.

I'll skip to the outcome of the investigation:

They knew ages ago, didn't think to do anything
The people in charge are gone
No action can be taken against them.
We'll get a "lesson learnt" speech, nothing will actually be learnt though.
Here's the bill for the investigation: several million pounds.

Ta.
Saved us all years of nonsense and money. You're welcome.

Who would even take over?
Sunak wasn't even their first choice, they'd be scraping the floor underneath the bottom of the barrell

Anyone daft enough to offer Truss style tax cuts as a last ditch desperate attempt to bribe the public and save their seats. They're happy to throw the UK economy under a bus in order to save themselves so they can enjoy another five years of corruption and cheating the public.

Get Dorries to finally fully resign, triggering a bye-election, where BJ stands as a Tory, sweeps all before him, and immediately ousts Sunak as PM and calls a GE before anyone notices.

Could you imagine if they actually did boot Sunak right now? 😂

What a barrel of rats.
