A Political Thread pt. 2

I don't get what secrets he's supposedly exposing that the deepstate hate?

The deepstate really hates human trafficking misogynists who run pyramid schemes?
From what everyone says you'd think they'd be well into that

It's the standard tactic of the right and far right. Accuse the other side of what you do yourself. The ridiculous thing is that it's so effective with so many people.

Is Tate really relevant to anyone outside of virgins on tiktok? He went at Thunberg because she's the most relevant person in the age demographic that he appeals to. Most of them will grow out of it, those who don't won't be happy people.

The trouble is it'll likely create a few Travis Bickle types.

I had heard of of him because I sometimes watch true Geordie for boxing news and he has been mentioned but didn't realise was a messed up individual he was until more recently.

I don't think they will grow out of it, many of the people who like his crap aren't angsty teens who have to let their hormones settle, they are grown men. I don't think many people that age tend to shift from following conspiracies, trolling and idolising arseholes to being reasonable individuals. That is who they are by that stage.

Have to say there something about very interesting about right wing activists co-opting Matrix allegories. I know The Matrix is actually pretty surface level in many regards but the fact its more a trans allegory than anything else (both directors have subsequently come out as trans and have said explicitly some of it inspired bybthier experiences) amuses me they've tried to co opt it.

Some real interesting data.

Have to say the Gen X one doesn't quite track in the UK from my experience. But its certainly correct for Millenials of about my age.

Probably something to do with the fact that people become more conservative as they have families and become wealthier. Millennials are not experiencing the uptick in wealth and ownership that previous generations would have been experiencing by their 30's and 40's.

Also, some GenX came to adulthood in the "greed is good" 80s, rather than the "Caring, Sharing" 90s.

The elder Gen X's yes the younger ones no. You have to remember the name for Millenials comes from the fact they came to adulthood in the 00's.

He points to that as a major factor. The other is a more deep rootted issue is Millenials and younger deeply reject the rights culture wars. This is mainly due to being deeply more educated which is the usual dividing line on such matters.

Everyone mocks Blair for trying to "get everyone into University" (I always thought his mistake was giving a figure rather than everyone who is able). But it might be 9ne of the main factors for destroying the Tories. Or at least the current iteration.

Well known fact that the more you wave flags around, the more you love the country.

They'll make bigger flags and wave them harder, and soon, they will make a flag so big, and wave it so hard, it will destroy them all!

I know it sounds stupid but you know one of issues Labour had was a perception they hated Britain and weren't patriotic enough?

So yeah its bloody silly he has to stick a flag out in every address he does but it stops people getting in their head he's ashamed of the country. Therefore idiots (it only works on idiots) in certain areas will vote for him as at least he believe in Brotain because he'll stand in front of a flag.

Sadly they don't want and can't talk about Brexit either. So, lost my vote.
I don't mind people taking that attitude as long as they don't live in a place where Labour might actually win against a Tory. I've had the joy of voting LD in an area no one else is going to win even on current polling data.

Otherwise it's pinch your nose and don't mind the smell too much time. Which sucks buts that the voting system.

Sunak's video looked so manufactured and forced on top of saying almost nothing at all. Also found it interesting that he mentions fairness which basically means we won't give help to people who need it as that's not fair. Remember how he was eligible for the energy support on all 3 of his homes as it was only fair that everyone got support.
