Quick question. What has Rishi Sunak's government done?

Apart from Hunt's budget which was necessary after Truss has there actually been anything else?

I would tend to take a broader view and also pin the blame on Johnson and Truss. The economy should have been in much better shape when Sunak took over as PM. Sunak also needs to shoulder responsibility as he was Johnson's Chancellor. The economy took a massive hit because of COVID but too many people are in complete denial about the damage being done by Brexit.

What Truss (and her cronies) did was unforgivable as it was totally avoidable. I'm clutching at straws but Hunt's budget settled the markets and strengthened the collapsing pound. His budget aimed to correct Truss' mess and the spending cuts that were deemed necessary are ultimately what is ******* off public sector workers and causing strikes. If the economy had been better managed over the last 12 years then fair pay increases for public sector workers should have been possible. Sunak's cabinet is just a recycled Government with many of the same ministers that served under Johnson and Truss. The country badly needs fresh leadership.

Every Tory leader wants to be the next Thatcher. Rather than having constructive dialogue with people, who have suffered years of pay squeeze because of Tory policy, they have become even more belligerent. This isn't like them inheriting someone else's mess and standing their ground, it's their mess and now that want to make it worse. 12 years of excuses for why there can't be pay rises and now, faced with some of the most rampant inflation in decades, they just have yet another excuse.

I think the various Tory governments need to stop pretending things done by the previous governments were not their fault. They were MPs / ministers still.

Hunt's budget stabilised the markets but he did so by pushing through more pain onto the lowest earners. The middle class is going to disappear in the UK as the government fleeces them.

I was actually thinking about this earlier. Replacing a PM/government doesn't really change the fundamental policies of a state, it really changes the message and/or method in which the policies are sent out. Having a maximum of 5 years between en masse elections means policy doesn't have to react to the will of the people. The tories still have 20 months to run their policy and then 4 months to fear monger about labour.

Judicial sources informed the outlet that the two British brothers have been under investigation since the spring for the alleged kidnapping of two young women in their villa in the town of Voluntari, in Muntenia.

They are also suspected of forming an organised criminal group and rape, and the two have been picked up and taken to hearings at DIICOT, according to the cited sources.

Incredible how many chuds are still defending him, saying "big tech" is putting pressure on the Romanian authorities to silence him

Also love how his "clap back" at Greta is what got him arrested, as the Romanian authorities recognised the pizza boxes so knew he was back in the country

It's seems to be a recurring theme among the far right at the moment, manufacturing ever more ridiculous conspiracies to avoid accepting they have some seriously disgusting shits among their ranks. It's genuinely infuriating how morally depraved apparently quite large segments of society are.

The "muh free speech" crowd cheered when these ***** were let back on Twitter, cheered when journalists and others were kicked off for arbitrary reasons Musk pulled out of his arse and still seem to think he is a champion of free speech and that they are the ones in the right.
