[2018 November Tests] England vs Australia (24/11/18)

I know that sometimes refs don't need to go to TMO, but that was clearly forward all day long.

Got to love how commentary goes from well done for not checking as there is too much these days, to he should have checked earlier.

Ref isn't having a good game so far.

How does anyone on the refs team not see that.

TBH I feel that there have been a few borderline passes not called. Australia definitely flirting with the forward pass line.

In my world that's not a card, but in this day and age that's a card all day long.

Barnes saying "look at him put him back down" as the clip very clearly shows him dropping Daly was comedic timing at it's best

The Aussies are doing the same thing down their left wing every time and we keep getting beaten by it...

Based on the same thing happening with Nowell last week, it seems that we've moved beyond the reactionary calls.

I was thinking that England needed more points for their possession and Folau making them pay for not taking them.

Agreed it's a penalty try.

Ok so Peyper says that the Australian player dropped his shoulder too so not a penalty, but how does that matter? Only Farrell is supposed to wrap his arms, what does it matter what the Aussie player did?

Are commentators banned from mentioning Farrell defence in a bad way?
Surely you're not implying that St Farrell got dislocated from Itoje, leaving a too-large gap for Folau to waltz through? Or possibly that putting his shoulder in and turning his back so that it's impossible to use his arms in the tackle could be considered a no-arms tackle and a penalty try are you?

Barf had a player carded vs Falcons last night when Toby Flood didn't even pass the horizontal plane and was completely accidental due to the leg drive from flood (who milked it as well)... shouldn't have been a yellow and arguably not a pen. I'd say this was a pen but not yellow IMO, new directives can do one really.

Fascinating game we have here, don't think anyone can criticise the ref too harshly. It's not a Bristol vs Exeter situation like last week (yet).
