[2017 RBS Six Nations] Round 2: Wales vs England (11/02/2017)

Kyle Sinkler the only English turnover of the entire game. ****ing hell that was horrible. Only good side is a crap England have now put away 2 sides that have massively upped their games against us. A tactic i noticed Wales using a lot is illegally taking out players off the breakdown and never getting penalised.

Now Gatland can't pick any Welsh lads. That's how it works a England V Wales game right?

Horrible match, bit of a cripple-fight, but I'll take it.

Lots for both sides to work on during the fallow weekend

Genuinely terrible performance, back row was awful.

Did jiffy say he picked Launchbury because of his carrying and...kicking?

At least Launchbury gets a MOM in a match where England have won. Not securing that last kick off where Wales turned it over would have been embarrassing had they scored a winning converted try from that.

The similarities with the 2012 game feel pretty real, just in reverse. For 60 or more minutes Wales made the hype-train look retarded and matched us inch for inch actually more than that and were close to scoring more but for 5% accuracy. Then, England pulling away with a late try, just as Wales did with Scott Williams' try. 2012 felt awful, that was a really difficult loss to take so I know what it feels like. I think a draw maybe would have been a fair result.

One of George or Sinckler has to start. Both clearly so much better than the incumbents. The sooner Haskell gets back in the starting team the better. Monster in defence.

Don't think it was terrible. It was a decent team performance with some bad individual performances which I think we can fix with some changes. George, Haskell and T'eo to start next week, with Daly at fullback. Kruis for Lawes if fit, or Itoje back into the second row if not. Maybe an opportunity to look at Mike Williams too? Sinckler should get a go too. If he can match the Italians in the scrum, he'll be okay in the future. If he doesn't do well, I'd still expect England to win, so it feels like a free opportunity to try him out.
