[2014 Mid-Year Tests] England

Haskell's versatility counted against him too. Coaches could never work out whether to have him as a 6, 7 or 8.

What has happened to Dave Sisi? Looked half decent at age group bad hasn't even been in the Bath Utd team by the looks of it?

On loan to Leeds currently - looked very good for them against Rotherham this weekend.

Army V Navy game in less than 2 weeks my liver has already started to panic!

Enjoy. Went to watch at Twickenham in 2012; managed to get a free ticket as my mate works at Sky and he couldn't make it. Ended up in the Sky's corporate box; which was very sweet: free booze and food:p. Rugby was ok Army won my a mile because the team was made up of Fijians.

Most entertaining thing of the afternoon was actually the number of streakers. Must have been at least 8 that made it on the pitch and half a dozen more who tried but were stopped. By the end of the game the whole Twickenham pitch were surrounded by stewards trying to stop streakers getting onto the pitch. Haha. :D

What are the chances that Lancaster and co. might give Dave Ward a deserved call-up?

I think it's quite, to very, likely. Our EPS hookers are Hartley, Youngs and Webber, our Saxons are Ward and George. Hartley is out injured, but expected back for the playoffs. Webber has been out for ages, but came back last week (?). Ward is the form hooker in the UK and should tour, if only for use in the midweek/bench in the first test.

Gah, why don't I get sky and championship games!

Ward is the best English hooker right now. He deserved a call up and could easily be a better option than Youngs for longer term than this summer.

I was under the impression that he was going to bring Cowan-Dickie, I don't personally think he should bring him(maybe BaaBaas game) but I would prefer most too Tom Youngs at the moment.

Yeah I'd much rather ward to lcd.
I'd have Cowan-Dickie in the baabaas side but he doesn't look 100% comfortable playing senior rugby yet, I wouldn't take him to NZ.

Ward looks like a Chuter/Paice player. Solid but not many high class aspects to his game.

What's going on with Lindsay? He looks like a great prospect

Not sure exactly - seems to be out of favour because of his throwing... but when they do play him they never seem to use him as a ball carrier.
Which is odd because that is his great strength.

His work rate and work around the park is absolutely top notch.
I'd say he's like an on form Tom Youngs, but slightly better at the set piece. Not quite as powerful a carrier, he carries well but in a different style: worming his way through rather that charging through people, good turn of base and good hands too.

Lindsays prospects have been exaggerated a lot in the past, he's never been even close to an England prospect.

Sure he's big and in theory a good carrier but his workrate isn't good enough. In the same way that Andrew Sheridans workrate would never come close to that of Alex Corbisiero or Dan Cole despite the size of the bloke. He's also seems to find throwing the ball straight quite a challenge, and he stands up a lot in the scrums.
Not really sure how he still has a Wasps contract to be honest.

About 4 years ago the stewards had caught and carried off so many streakers there were non left to stop anyone else. A guy dressed as Zoro ran into the middle of the pitch and every time he gave the stewards the slip the whole crowd shouted "ole!" funny as ****! The Stewards all being droid using club bouncers trying to catch young fit soldiers and marines who could run round Twickenham all day much more fun than watching the game. I never have a box as a former Royal Engineer I go to the core bar in the south stand and get very very drunk.
