That's a pretty good England team - should be able to play some attractive stuff if they gel.
If you're a neutral wondering whether it's worth watching I'd thoroughly recommend it.

That is a great looking side.
From a one-eyed-Sale-point-of-view I'd rather see Taylor start over Buchanan, as I think he's the better player, and I'd really like to see Paterson in the second row (partnering Kitchener) - potential captain as well, imo, as he's a great leader both in terms of performance and speaking.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Gaskell start at 6 and captain the side. Don't think he makes a particularly good captain but he has previous (both for Sale and Saxons) - though Kitchener could well captain them.

I love this fixture. Always lots of tries - normally great conditions.

That seems like a good Barbarians squad. I wonder whether it will be enough to avoid being dicked.

Am i alone in struggling to work up any excitement about this game at all?

I'm the exact opposite, to be honest, I really can't wait for it! Looking forward to this more than the Aviva Final.

Really excited to see how Ross and Tommy step up to "international" rugby (I know BaaBaas aren't really an "international" level side, these days, but it's a completely different environment for them to be working in).
Also looking forward to seeing Pato out there - he really is a talent. I still have reservations about him as an "Englishman", but he's been selected sooo.....:p There's a reason he's made nearly every "Team of the Season" going, he's been superb for us all season. I wouldn't be massively surprised to see him on the plane to New Zealand, if he puts in a good shift vs the BaaBaas, as he covers 4-8 very comfortably (however we have very good depth in the back 5 these days, so I'm not sure Lancaster would look too hard at a 29yr old, when he's got players 5+ years younger than him knocking about the international setup).

interesting view point, i'm kind of leaning the other way... i just find them lacking in intensity and that to me makes it uninteresting. I'll still watch it though :)

I like baa baas games. Teams are willing to take risks and play very open rugby. Whilst you are unlikely to get the nail biting tension of other games, you can get a fair few passages of play which are brilliant to watch.

England team:

15 Elliot Daly (London Wasps)
14 Semesa Rokoduguni (Bath Rugby)
13 Jonathan Joseph (Bath Rugby)
12 Sam Hill (Exeter Chiefs)
11 Charlie Sharples (Gloucester Rugby)
10 Henry Slade (Exeter Chiefs)
9 Joe Simpson (London Wasps)

1 Ross Harrison (Sale Sharks)
2 Rob Buchanan (Harlequins)
3 Kyle Sinckler (Harlequins)
4 Michael Paterson (Sale Sharks)
5 Graham Kitchener (Leicester Tigers, captain)
6 Jamie Gibson (Leicester Tigers)
7 Luke Wallace (Harlequins)
8 Dave Ewers (Exeter Chiefs)
Replacements
16 Tommy Taylor (Sale Sharks)
17 Fraser Balmain (Leicester Tigers)
18 Will Collier (Harlequins)
19 Charlie Matthews (Harlequins)
20 James Gaskell (Sale Sharks)
21 Dan Robson (Gloucester Rugby)
22 Ollie Devoto (Bath Rugby)
23 Rob Miller (Sale Sharks)

Not bad at all!
Hope Tommy Taylor gets some decent time from the bench, think he's better/a better prospect than Buchanan.

England Second string sides tend to look good on paper and perform like absolute p*ss in practise; I'm hoping that Jon Callards lack of involvement with this side will make the difference.

By the way, I don't have any scientific proof that Callard is a bad coach, but he has a pretty poor record given the players and resources he has available to him.

Dat back line though. PHWOAR.

Good team, let's hope that having Lancaster as the coach will mean these guys don't play the rubbish the Sacons have been.
