[2013 TRC] South Africa vs. New Zealand in Johannesburg (05/10/2013)

Can't find much fault with this.

As for the Arial battle, I think the Boks will be up for it, and will use it also as we have Fourie Du Preez, who IMHO is the best boxkicker in the game. Speaking of Fourie, it would be interesting how he will run the plays, as it will be his first game vs. NZ since his return.

I agree with this although in the past few matches against the boks the AB's have schooled them with tactical kicking. At Ellis park with Du Preez its a different thing though and i fully expect SA to get parity in this area or better.

If SA can play to their strengths and use Ellis park to their advantage they could have us in big trouble. If they continue doing what they've been doing in the last few encounters the outcome will be the same.

I actually also thought SA defence was pretty average by their standards in the last test. Even though they were down a man most of the breaks imo werent because they were down by a man it was either rush of blood or tackling errors. And if the AB's continue on from the last test to break the first line of defence I dont think the SA covering is as good as it has been in the past.

I will be satisfied with a Bok win, be it 39-38 or 6-3.
Think us Saffas is getting ahead of ourselves, yes we are on a up but some distance from the top still.
If we do the the unthinkable and score 4 tries and beat the Blacks by 8+ them hell great but from where I sit now I don't think we are peaking yet

oh, will you now ?! Wow, what humility ! :p

My bet is NZ victory with BP.

Odd I am predicting a South African win minus the BP.

What I find stranger is that for some reason this game does not really interest me or at least I can't seem to get interested in it,

Man, a lot of confident/cocky saffas in this thread. Regardless of who wins this game the winner of the TRC is the best team in the comp and world. End of. History will look at who won the comp, not this game. But in staying that I'm confident the ABs will get up for this. Quite a few quotes this week from ABs players regarding the '95 WC and what it meant to them watching the ABs lose - lots of motivation there. This could possibly be the game of year, can't wait!

Very excited. Braai is going and a fresh bottle of brandy opened for this one.

21 - 16 for the Bokke.

well lets hope the SA crowd actually use their own vocal cords instead of those vuvuzelas haha like watching rugby while someone in the house is vacuuming, damn annoying.

South African Rugby supporters don't use those.

I swear that plane came pretty close to clipping the top of one of the stands.

EDIT: There's another one! Tony Johnson and Justin Marshall's reactions are priceless.

So, finally, this it - the big one..................

Will this settle the bragging rights as World NO 1............not sure if that would be the case if SA win as there is little doubt in the minds of the neutrals that the AB's are still the best team year in year out but it will be as famous a victory as the 1996 RWC final but hopefully both teams have eaten well this time!

I have to support the AB's for this game even if there are very good reasons why the SA team could win. I will go for a good victory by the Kiwis.................

South Africans should respect the haka!. It's a shame that they have booed the haka. This isn't soccer, this is rugby. In this sport the respect is very important.

It's their stadium, I love the noise, only response that can be done until the IRB ban that too.

Challenge issued.....challenge met!

SA team were impeccable and that is what should count to the supporters of it. Crowd entitled to vent their feelings..............

12 minutes gone and I am knckered........................wonderful stuff and Reid is something else!!

Two glorious tries from Habana......where is the AB defence?

Looks to me like too many committed to the breakdown.........but what do I know!!

Great start to the game - I'd feared it'd be a really tight/edgy game, but boy was I wrong!
