Bath or "The masochists guide to rugby"

"Whether at Leicester or in the Premiership play-offs, Bath's collective is far greater than what once was just a sum of parts."
Bruh Bath lost to Leicester twice this season smh

And the problem with Hooper's Bath is that we were LESS than the sum of our parts

Oh JVG has done a fantastic job

I just don't see the money all aspect at all.
JVG and tbh Hooper have set Bath up well.

If Hooper hadn't been keeping a reserve free Bath wouldn't have been able to sign the likes of Hill, Lawrence etc
It was unpredictable but Bath put themselves in the position to make the most of it.

JVG coaching on top of that and being able to add Russel to counter his weakness at Munster

As far as I can tell, these are the players we've not had any contract news on this year:
Obano, Cordwell
Dunn, Faiva
Du Toit
Richards, Roux, Stooke
Hill, Barbeary
Spencer, Carr-Smith
Russell
Lawrence, Butt

Of those, Cordwell, Roux, Carr-Smith and Butt might have been expected to have something said about them - COML squad thread has AC's last contract signed 2021; QR was last year, but IIRC was thought to be a single year; TCS was 2020 and Butt was 2021.
I think we're all assuming we're just waiting for Stooke's announcement.
Squad list also has Obano contracted until this summer; but given what a disaster "no news" would be on that, I feel safe in assuming the squad list has that wrong (it also has Favia signing a full year early - these things happen)

Untold story of Finn Russell's miracle recovery in Bahamas
Eccentric recovery plan of sun, sea and sand helped talisman to recover from torn groin in time for Premiership play-offs as Bath dream of first title since 1996

Reaching for a jackal turnover a quarter of an hour into the Champions Cup round-of-16 defeat by Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park, Russell was cleared out, hurt badly, and limped off. Bath were coy about what happened, labelling it as "a significant injury" and quietly prayed it would not end Russell's season — and their chances of winning the league.

They did not reveal at the time that Russell had torn his groin muscle off the bone. Nor have they yet told the tale of his recovery. "One day we'll write a book about what Finn went through over the past few weeks," Bath's head of rugby, Johann van Graan, said. "What he and Rory Murray, the head of medical, went through to get him back on the pitch is no easy feat."

Worth noting, I've not met a single Bath fan who's as good as "neutral" on Castore.
Opinion seems to range from dislike through to hatred.

I suspect all finalists make these shirts, as you want something in the shop the next day, but crass to try to sell them after losing, and exactly what I'd suspect from Castore

I'm just surprised that they're not at least flogging them? £50 for a hoodie!

I would 100% bought one if they'd done it for Leinster. I need the vibes.

you are supposed to send them to the Red Cross

Sounds like this was ready to go in May/June, but Environment Agency and Natural England took until now to give their feedback.

Working in engineering, I can tell you getting approvals from various authorities is the biggest pain in the arse, some of them really take the **** with how slowly they respond.
