2012 IRB Junior World Championship

lol simultaneous concussion assessments in both games.

First Nelson, then Hanrahan... kicking = problem it seems

Furlong is scrummaging quite well especially considering he against a relatively experienced Super 15 player in Kitshoff.

Hnarahan kicking well there, excellent chasing by the second rowers.

**** yeah! S.A.'s 9's confidence in his kicking game is going to be wrecked.

Good game so far. The Irish forwards doing well and bullying the Boks.

Our scrum is pretty good too. I'm still thinking we'll lose, but this is very positive.

I'm so used to our forwards getting dicked at this level that I'm not sure are our forwards good or are these boks just kak?

Lads

That was some 40 minutes

Shame the backline's not as good as the pack. Well. Shame for this game - good job for our game against you!

edit:

Jockstap, Henderson and Furlong are about the two best Irish forwards I've seen in three or so years of compulsive age grade watching, and I'd happily put them in any England age grade team. Gilsenan's not much behind. The rest, they're decent players who are being carried along by the others imo, although a lot of them are bigger than the average mini-mick which helps. There's just a combined ferocity that's beautiful to behold.

Saffas are definitely below par, but any Baby Bok pack is a good pack, and Kitshoff in particular has some reputation.

Remember, this pack was able to beat France in France. Only blemish on their record was letting England walk over them in the 6N, and I was surprised by that at the time.

Apparently they're supposed to be pretty handy. Our forwards did well in the 6 nations too, they're not the regular undersized dwarves we usually send out.

Hmm, I reckon not getting a score there will come back to cost us. Still, a good half.
