I'm disappointed in that Wales team, I think we'll lose again now

Players who haven't made either of the first two matchday squads for Wales:
Lloyd Williams, Andy Powell, Jonathan Thomas, Gareth Delve, Martyn Williams, Scott Andrews and Ken Owens

all are pretty much certain not to make it now (apart from Delve, who is in and out of the squad like the hokey kokey)

I predict Brew and Tipuric will also drop out and Peel will come back in

You could be right dude but not because we've put our a bad side. Asides wiggleswoth and fourie its the same team which won at the ms last time. Oh and corbisiero but he's better than sheridan anyway. Shame about the centres but hopefully if it doesn't work mj will have no choice but to give hape\tindall up as a bad job. Only minor worry for me is wigglesworths service and his undersanding with flood.

As for wales can anyone tell me about the hooker, don't know him at all. Arguably hook and priestland should be the other way round, gatland might have experimented more at 6 with turnbull or something. And I don't much rate charteris. But its a strong wales team for sure. Only worry there is whether gav is ready for inteernational rugby and whether hook is wasted at 15. But should, on paper, be a better game then last week. Can't really call it but hopefully if we can get on the front foot in the scrum and put pressure on faletau we stand a good chance

It's good to see Priestland start at 10 over Hook, he did well when he wasn't expecting to play so he should be able to put in another performance. Not sure about Henson though, I'd have liked to see Scott Williams Start.

My main "quibbles" are:
Hape/Tindall - We've seen them play together a lot, why not mix it up and have Hape/Tuilagi, or Flutey/Tindall?
Banahan on the bench - Should be Armitage
Deacon - Would've preferred him off the bench if at all
Haskell on the bench - We know what he can do now, should've tested Robshaw
Cueto/Ashton as the wing pairing - Should've had Sharples > one of them, to try him out


I suppose it's a predictable team, but it's a shame that we're not trying more out


Though I'm looking forward to seeing Fourie and Wigglesworth on the pitch (and not just because I'm a Sale fan )
Fourie/Wood on the flanks is going to be quality at the breakdown, going to be a right battle vs Lydiate/Warburton
Hopefully the sprint sessions at Pennyhill have helped Easter out though

The back 3 won't exactly hoof the ball up pitch (yes i know Hook has a good boot, but hes more of a runner than a tactician). I'm quite exited. The forwards do look a little "light weight" but though Burns was decent last week, not so sure on Charteris though.

'Potential' being the operative word. We've been picking players and hoping for things to work for too long purely based on 'potential'. It's time to start doing stuff and winning games now.

I don't like being the token welsh in my group, they know how passionate us welsh are about our rugby, even when we lose (which has been all the time of late).

Not realy happy with this team, bit gutted that none of the front row is back, looking like another hard day at the office for them. No idea why Gatland has put Hook at 15, tried it before, does not really work. His talents a bit wasted back there, and with Stephen Jones injured for now, was the perfecy opportunity to try him out at 10 with Priestland at 15. Happy with the centres, glad that Gav has been given a chance but this is likely to be his last (or last but one if he plays next week) chance to earn his World Cup squad place. Let's just hope we see an on form Henson putting Roberts through some holes in the defence! Seriously though, WHY MIKE F*CKING PHILLIPS?!?! Why does Gatland insist on picking players that match after match play poorly, Knoyle needed to start this! English team isn't fantastic, but has a dangerous back 3 and a good front row. Not really seen much of Fourie really, but it'll be interesting seen him Wood and Easter up against Lydiate Warburton and Faletau. Delve should be there. **** sake Gatland, sort your bloody team selections out <_<

Seems to me MJ is trying to balance three things:

1. Making his last decisions regarding who he's going to drop from the 40 to 30.
2. Trying to win and keep some momentum.
3. Giving some of the lads in the 30 some game time before the final warm up in Dublin, which it's assumed will be the chosen 30 at full strength.

Shame he can't really mess around with 12 /13 a little more. He values stability and experience and Tulangi for example could be shown up against a world ranking top 5 team.

Great to see Lawes starting! And Haskell is being kept on his toes, which is a good move.

This will be a tough call though, but if they can win fast ball and release Foden/Ashton via Toby Flood in the centre tries could be on offer.

I think it will be close and if so I definitely think our bench has enough firepower especially in stevens palmer haskell banahan and the pace of care, to win it late in the game.
