Maxime Mermoz is close to joining Leicester on a 3 & 1/2 year deal and will join sometime this week. Defiantly a position where we need to strength, I've always rated him.
Donncha O'Callaghan is a physical freak to still be playing in such an attritional position. Clearly a guy like Heaslip who are so intelligent about looking after their bodies. Reading Paul O'Connell's book he described Fla and Donncha as the two fittest and most professional guys in the Munster glory days set up. It's really paying dividends for him now as he's outlasted everyone except Stringer in the sport.
Longevity is not uncommon among second rows, given that the position relies on size and strength more than speed, which fades quicker. That said, DOC is still taking it to impressive levels, like Brad Thorne and Simon Shaw before him.
The man doesn't drink or smoke. Trains 12 sessions a week even in summer. I agree on what you say about position but his attitude and professionalism is brilliant
Definitely impressive, but surely not smoking can't be that noteworthy among professionals? I'm sure there a few who have the odd social smoke but it must be a minority?
Goode to Toulouse
Wigglesworth to Toulon
First seems more feasible than the latter, don't know if either make sense

That would be brilliant . Not sure about the full back stocks but to have Spencer playing all the time for Sarries would be great for England imo
