Transfers rumours

Just what Sale need, right now they've got old man Phillips slowing everything down by just not moving quickly, with Dickson they can have him slowing it all down by attempting to fly each time he gets to a ruck.

I'm just surprised that anyone on boards like this actually reads what fissler writes.
His strike rate is pretty poor, just another miuth-piece for agents, with a soupcon of insufferable self-aggrandizement.

He's a ****, but what he writes in his piece are rumours, and they're about as reliable as any rumours are.

It's being widely reported that Ulster are looking to clean out their coaching staff behind Les Kiss with Neil Doak and Allen Clarke apparently on the way out. Peter O'Reilly in the Sunday Times is reporting that Ulster are looking to bring in Dave Hewett former forwards coach at the Crusaders to replace Clarke.

Might be a wise move to freshen up ideas. Certainly have the backline but think the forwards to need few upgrades too

Definitely need to make a number of changes here. Being the transfer rumours thread, this is purely speculation on my part and has no basis in reality. Push to sign Andrew Porter or Peter Dooley at loosehead, Dave Foley as a bruiser in the second row and Arno Botha in the backrow to go along with the yet to debut Marcell Coetzee and their pack looks a good bit stronger.

Was talk of Dave going but can't see him going. Him and Kleyn will be our starters I think over next few years.
But they do need bit of dog in there too.
Like you look at their pack and there no 1 player there that you'd fear. And they don't seem to be a unit

Donncha O'Callaghan is a physical freak to still be playing in such an attritional position. Clearly a guy like Heaslip who are so intelligent about looking after their bodies. Reading Paul O'Connell's book he described Fla and Donncha as the two fittest and most professional guys in the Munster glory days set up. It's really paying dividends for him now as he's outlasted everyone except Stringer in the sport.

Saints supposedly making an announcement on the long going fly-half saga as to who we're going to bring in, i'll believe it when i see it but i pray that we're just trying to throw money at either Ford or Cruden

Long term it has to be Grayson, just need an older head to bring him through surely...hopefully

I hate the waste of our academy.

Both East Midlands teams have had a poor history of using academy players.

Very similar mindset of signing not up to it PI type players instead.

This is the most important issue and the same bunch of players weren't doing too badly at all until Barakat packed his bags. A new forwards coach is the most important thing Ulster could find right now. Sure, some quality reinforcements are pretty important too, but its nothing without being a unit. Make them a unit and players will emerge.

Its not that unusual for a lock to make it that long to be fair.
