Transfers rumours

I saw Koree 'The Perv' Britton has been named in Wasps' LV Cup side. Have they picked him up from the remains of London Welsh or is he a guest?

Chinnor picked him up from LW. I would say that he's clearly too good for level 4 rugby, but he didn't particularly stand out for an under performing Chinnor side earlier in the month at Redruth. I'd go as far as to say that he was outshone by Redruth and the Royal Navy's Ben Priddey.

As far as I know, there were only 20 or so contracted players left by the time the bubble finally burst. The only transfer that I remember is Aaron Carpenter to Doncaster. I'm surprised that he can't get a gig in the AP, maybe not being an EQP stands against him.

They're certainly looking pretty nifty in the championship

Do you think so? I haven't seen them play myself, but having read reports and heard accounts, I'd say that they're making slightly heavy weather of steamrollering a league populated by cash strapped clubs who took a gamble on Richmond going straight back down and cut their cloth accordingly. It's telling to me that a good, but far from great Leeds sit in second, having only lost to Irish. I don't believe that they would have made the playoffs back when Worcester beat Pirates to get back to the top flight. This being the case, I'd say that Irish will have to strengthen if they're going to avoid demotion next season.

100% lazily basing my claim on their undefeated record, haven't kept up with their reports in the slightest

Quins have signed Tyler Gendall from Exeter/Cornish Pirates until the end of the season.

Don't know anything about him - any good Chiefs/Pirates fans?

I must admit that I was surprised when I heard the news. For him and for Pirates, it's got to be a great move, but I'm surprised that 'quins were interested in someone who is very much a work in progress and is on the small side. He has great potential, he's only 22, 3 years ago he was playing for St Ives at level eight. He was starting to make an impact in his first season with Pirates, but was set back by a nasty injury. I'm surprised that 'quins weren't more interested in someone like Paul Andrew, who may be past his best, but has AP experience with Worcester.

I'm not sure what the Exeter connection is. AFAIK he played for their academy via their links with Truro College when he was studying there, but hasn't been involved since.

When he's 4th choice backrow and in the Ireland squad? I'd guess it's just games to get a bigger wage.

Don't know. Maybe he is looking at fact you've Heaslip Sean O'Brien Jordi Leavy Ruddock Van Der Flier and others and he's looking at congestion and obviously the bigger wages abroad. Like if everyone is fit would he ve in Irish squad. I'd say he would but like it all depends on his thinking

I don't know, he's the flavour of the month here and is probably taking advantage by getting a bigger wage in negotiation. If there's any credibility in an Indo article with no relevant quotes anyway...

6. SOB, Conan, VdF, Ruddock
7. SOB, VdF/Murphy, Leavy
8. Heaslip, Conan/Murphy

is probably the way the coaches see the backrow right now and Conan knows he'll be a starter in the future. On the other hand he may look at it thinking SOB made his break at 23 so at 24 he needs to kickstart his career.

I'm unsure either way. Like at 24 he's at crossroads. He wants to be a starter and fight for national team but equally I'm sure knows going to France or UK means chances decrease dramatically for Ireland while abroad. Thing is its hard to balance in argubally the most competitive position nationally.

Is Ruddock really that far down now?

Ruddock has been in the 19 shirt a lot recently convering lock and back row from the bench but in terms of starting I'd say so yeah. Mad really because I'd never be worried with him starting European games and he could still do a job at International level.

He heard about Red Leicester cheese and had to get in on that action.

Going from Dublin to Leicester would be like breaking up with Emily Ratajkowski to go out with Big Ginger 8 despite being a straight man...

It's more like choosing whether you'd rather eat human or dog diarrhoea.

At least dogs eat their own ****.

So I guess it is more likely he will be staying in Dublin then.

please At least Leicester has curves, Ratajkowski is basically a pole. (How she got the tomb raider role I don't know).

Rugbyinsideline claiming that Tigers will announce the signing of George Ford within the next 7 days.

I haven't heard anything so take this with a huge huge huge pinch of salt.

Ah well, if nothing else it'll make that rumour even less likely by the time the Prem starts up again.

Personally, I can't see Tigers stumping up the money Bruce will need to release George from his contract (esp to them).
I can't see George wanting to go to a club in negotiations with his dad (unless he's been reassured that those rumours are spurious).
I can't see George even thinking about the contract situation for the last week that he's been in camp with England (possible exception of actively sounding out Eddie for an opinion).
I can't see George wanting such an announcement about his club future whilst he's with England; even if it's a delayed announcement on a contract signed weeks ago.

We've all heard the rumour Ford Sr has got the chop from Toulon?
