Transfers rumours

I don't know what contract Ford has at Toulon - maybe just 'til the end of the season, but rumours are abound that Galthié could be on his way. He has apparently had a settlement from the courts with regard to his departure from Montpellier so maybe now he's looking to get back into the Top14.

Everywhere now reporting Ford to Tigers as done and for 450,000 which is a great price.

Would be happy, although talk of burns going the other way isn't great.

Doesn't seem like a great decision on his part but whatever, will be glad to get the whole tedious story over with, and hopefully once signed he can get his head down adn concentrate on playing well in his last half season

Real shame it's Tigers though because ... I don't want to hope he fails ... but what if I can't help hoping he fails?

All the rumours posted on ruck.co.uk

Richard Cockerill - another French club or Edinburgh

Gavin Henson - Newport Gwent Dragons

Edoardo Gori - Northampton Saints (why are we linked with so many damn scrum halfs and no fly halfs)

Gordon Reid, Adam Ashley-Cooper and Saia Fainga’a - London Irish

Geoff Parling - Sale Sharks (Saracens also interested)

Mark Bennett and Josh Strauss - Newcastle Falcons

Surely, Gloucester are better than this.

If true, then I bet Fearns is looking for break clauses in his contract already.

Define better? I mean when was the last time they have looked consistently dangerous.

Morally and ethically better than offering Mike Ford a job. That's the sort of thing we expect from Leicester, not Glaws ;)
Better in team-spirit and togetherness than will be possible if giving Mike Ford a job. This would also apply for Leicester... and... everyone in the Prem

Maybe he could try Welsh rugby?

They love their flare rugby (traditionally, less so under Kiwi management); and don't mind taking risks on the pitch.
They don't mind swapping ideas and players with Rugby League.
They enjoy nothing better than a bit of internecine warfare. Well, that and playing rugby against their old pay-masters.

He's be perfect.

How low do his stocks have to sink before big clubs stop hiring him I wonder?

The rumour will only happen if Altrad is successful in his takeover which will essentially make Gloucester a feeder team to Montpellier I'd imagine, so I don't think they'd too good for anyone with shady "rugby morals"!
